Kabwe Warriors is a victim of the two-third crusade mounted in the run-up to the 2011 football season, it has emerged.
According to information obtained by bolayathu.com from Football House, Warriors had been top listed for punishment on the pitch.
This is because Warriors chairman Andrew Kamanga was leader of the majority FAZ members that put a motion to pass a no confidence vote in Kalusha Bwalya’s group.
A list of top referees that has been made available to bolayathu was drawn with specific instructions to ensure Warriors face a torrid season.
Some referees in the Referees Association of Zambia (RAZ) have also confirmed the secret list of its members assigned to cover Warriors matches.
Other teams that have been earmarked for such punishment include leaders Power Dynamos, Zanaco and Green Buffaloes.
The quartet was viewed as ring-leaders in the an unprecedented revolt that saw four executive committee members including vice-president Emmanuel Munaile quit in October 2010.
“For teams like Nkana and Blades, they supported us and they have got some crucial decisions in their favour,” a Football House official said.
The official said Zesco United, Red Arrows, Nakambala Leopards and Nchanga Rangers were lukewarm in the revolt and therefore have not suffered as much punishment.
“If the behaviour of Nkana supporters had happened in Kabwe or at Sunset Stadium, an immediate ban would have been slapped on the clubs,” the official said.
There have been a series of ugly crowd trouble incidents at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe this season but FAZ has kept a blind eye to them.
Nkana emerged as one of the staunch supporters of Bwalya and seemingly enjoy immunity from any disciplinary action by the Bwalya-led executive.
“Warriors are the worst victims of this victimisation campaign. The target is to see them demoted. Power have also been complaining but their strategy has worked well for them,” the source, without disclosing the Power strategy, said.
Warriors have spent the season fighting relegation and now lie in 14th place with 22 points after 22 matches.

These are fake stories which hold no water. We have never heard Warriors complain on poor refereing. Warriors should just work hard. Look at ZANACO almost on top of the log. And Power are fornt runners. So whats your story?
