I agree, the vacant positions must be advertised so that only people can compete on a level playing ground. People must be appointed on merit and must have a proven track record forbeing result oriented. i agree with chikondi. the jobs must be given on merit and the more transparent way is to advertise them to all zambians coz we all need thez jobs.

This is good Mr President, but for trnasparency’s sake, don’t you think it would have been better if the positions were advertised to civil servants and get the qualified one for the position of DC.

Mupwaya had sucrificed alot of fellow employees of get to that position.He fired 85 employees in Ndola in 2008 saying they were PF suppoters.The new government should help these former Zesco employees get their jobs back.

Mr President needs to sort out the guys at immigration, that’s where the rot is. If they did their job properly you would not have unskilled labour coming into the country posing as investors. Fitters and boiler makers? What happened to the criteria of Jobs only going to foreigners where there is no Zambian national to fill the role?
