Chinsali would be most appropriate as provincial capital for the following considerations:
Chinsali – Mpika = about 180km
Chinsali – Mpulungu = about 163km
Chinsali – Nakonde = about 156km
Chinsali – Isoka = about 78km

However, Mpika has more infrastructure, BUT:-
M p i k a – M p u l u n g u = 343km!
M p i k a – N a k o n d e = 380km!

AGAIN IT IS MY CONSIDERED VIEW THAT THE DUAL APPROACH OF 1. DEVELOPING MPIKA INTO A MAJOR INDUSTRIAL/TRADES CENTRE (with all those rail links), AND 2. CHINSALI INTO A PROVINCIAL ADMIN & ACADEMIC CENTRE WOULD BE THE PRAGMATIC AND ACCEPTABLE AMBITIOUS WAY FORWARD.

i think building more learning institutions would be a good idea but i don’t think increasing the retirement age was a very good idea coz it may directly affect youths seeking employment.

HH is just another chiluba who can hijack even a party. Remember the two vice presidents of UPND were Sakwiba and Chisanga and HH came in,sidelined them and took over the party. He attempted to hijack PF in the name of the Pact but bravo to our president Sata is too strong and intelligent.We don’t want chancers in Zambia to be presidents. Ruphia,HH,Chiluba.

On the issue of the new province, surely 1 does not need a degree in anything to see that this will be good for adminstration purposes. Northern province is big and people often times have to travelled very long distances to get services from minicipal and gvt offices. I welcome the presidents move. KEEP It UP MR PRESIDENT!

Umwana ashenda Atasha nyina ukunaya.What is wrong with some of you guys, there is nothing wrong with adding the number of universities in the country. Surely you cant tell me that in all these countries that have alot of universities, all is well. They also experience problems and infact they are on going that need to be addressed at all times. Wake Zambians let us surport our president.To me this man is our true leader who is selfless and thirsty for Zambian Development. Iwe chi observer itole!
