50 Women Poisoned At Kitchen Party

About 50 women in Lusaka’s John Howard compound were yesterday allegedly poisoned at a kitchen party.

The women, who were attending a kitchen party for one of their colleagues in the compound, suspect they ate poisoned food.

Chawama ward 3 councilor, Portipher Tembo has confirmed the development to Muvi TV news adding that 19 of the women were even admitted to the University Teaching Hospital.

hehehe..i can see some dunderheads ..it doesn’t mean its the actual poison but maybe food went bad due to conditions..its called poisoned food coz its not fit for consumption..hahah..pf…!!

i think this was food poising which could have been caused by salmonela, basillicus sillium, or stafilococuss which mainly thrives in humid conditions. food slike rice, potatoes meat chicken if cooked a day before could be a source of the ailment. thats why food hygiene is of paramount importance. food should be eaten hot and bacteria cannt grow easily in hot temperatures. but they like warm areas. A lesson to our mothers who organise such functions get trained people to assit in prepeartion of food. In hot place slike zambia food for functions should be cooked the day of the function. sometimes food handlers could be the source of the poisoning. basic rules when handling food, cover your hair, dont pock your nose in the noise, avoid scratching any how. good personal hygiene, clean as you go in the kitchen. dont eat left over food without heating it to boiling temperature. keep your nails short as bacteria live in long nails dont paint nails can cause chemical reactions. . always wash your hands after any activity. Food poisoning is so dangerous that some effects can start just minutes after eating affectted food. e.g cholera. we can also avoid starchy food for fucntions just light snaks can do.God bless you.
