Pictures Of The Day

Pictures Of The Day

Rhino goosed by ostrich. This two-tonne rhino was so startled when an ostrich pecked him on the bottom that he leapt into the air, with both hind legs off the ground. The sight was captured on camera at Woburn Safari Park as the ostrich inspected rhino Kai, the newest addition to the park. The ostrich was pecking at flies and bugs that had landed on the hide of the rhino. Woburn Safari Park’s marketing manager Abi Crowley said: “Kai has never met an ostrich and it’s safe to say this encounter startled him.”

In 2000 John Ambros a guide at Nkwali Robin Pope Safaris was killed by an elephant for negligence by ZAWA. The rules for who should and when he should the south luangwa exams only works for blacks. No one should do exams until atleast 2 years in south luangwa safari industry. John stayed only 3 months. No guide should do both driving and walking exams at once. John did both exams same time and passed them all. No one should start driving or walking without at least 5 accompanied drives or walks. John was given non. He was too good to do any accompanied activities which are very cardinal in guiding. Today Sam a white guide at Lion Camp went in a confrontation with an elephant with a calf and a client was terribly injured. Why pay less to black guides who do better jobs and pay more to white guide for a mess?
