Malawi VP Leaves Zambia, No Arrest Fears

VP Guy Scott right with Malawian counterpart Joyce Banda left

Malawi Vice President Joyce Banda is today Thursday expected to leave Zambia after attending  independence celebrations at the invitation of President Michael Sata, effectively putting to rest rumours that she was seeking asylum in the country.

Rumours were rife that Banda failed to return Wednesday because there was a plot by government to arrest her on return and press treason charges.

People’s Party spokesperson Stephen Mwenye said the VP was not seeking asylum and could not do so.

Mwenye said Banda was a fearless leader who could not go outside the country to seek international protection against persecution but will always fight on the front line against oppression.

According to Nyasa Times sources,  the governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has been fabricating strategy documents implicating Banda, who is also leader of the People’s Party (PP), in an alleged coup plot against President Mutharika and his government.

Zambian media always get your facts right before publishing on your sites. Remember she is the VP of Malawi and leader of opposition how had to stay longer to discuss diplomatic matters affecting Malawi and Zambia

Shaaaa Zambians are crazy with this woman, believe me she will never be a Malawian President, Sata continue your honey moon with her while Mr. Banda is watching. Mutharika is brave, things are normalising, she better find another strategy to win in 2014. We are what we are becoz we love our country. Sata never fought for our freedom, he had problems with your former presidents and he better trade carefully and handle Malawi with tender hands. Otherwise Malawi Govt will do the same vengeance actions he is doing by:
    1. Inviting uncontrollable power hungry vice president who is in opposition
    2. By giving a licence to an Opposition Zambian Tv/Radio to broadcast on free to air issues capable of disturbing peace in Zambia.
    3. By seeking an apology for inviting the Wife of Mr. Banda (the currently Vice President) for discussions and sex sessions during the 47th annivessary of Zambia independence.

Till we meet in 2015 Wa Mudala

PRESIDENT Sata has appointed japhen Mwakalombe who resigned as Chongwe MMB Member of Parliament (MP) into diplomatic service.
According to sources, President Sata has appointed Sata as ambassador to a yet to be known country for stepping down to allow Sylvia Masebo gain the seat in a bye-election.
The deal was reportedly brockered by ZNBC Director General Joe Chilaizya and State House Principal Secretary Chalabesa at a meeting at Times Cafe at Lusaka’s Arcades Shopping Mall.
