KAWAMBWA AIRTEL CUSTOMERS THREATEN TO PULL OUT

SOME Kawambwa residents have threatened to dump mobile service
provider Airtel citing poor services.
The residents who have complained of continuous network blues have
accused Airtel of not listening to  complaints they have been making
through the customer care.
Speaking  to tumfweko on Monday afternoon, one of the residents Mwape
Mulenga said he and other customers were tired of the network blues
that they have been experiencing for several weeks now.
Mr. Mulenga expressed disappointment at Airtel’s alleged failure to
handle  problems customers were facing adding that the company was
overwhelmed by the blues.
He warned that people were now contemplating migrating to other mobile
service providers with better services.
Mr.  Mulenga lamented that people were no longer enjoying
communication using phone because of call drops during conversations.
Mr. Mulenga has since advised airtel to rectify the problem if they
are to keep customers in the area.
And another resident John Chipasha bemoaned airtime shortages in the
area attributing the situation to limited supply.
Mr. Chipasha said although the district was experiencing network
blues, there was no need to keep airtime in short supply.
“ As we talk to you now there is no talk time in the streets and we
are now inconvenienced”, Chipasha said.
Meanwhile Chipasha has appealed to  Airtel to maintain the old magic
number tariff system of K 2 per second saying the new system of K 5
per second was almost the same as making an ordinary call.
“The magic number facility has been helpful to those who cannot afford
but why have they not maintained it?”
He said Airtel must learn to stick to their promises if they are to
keep their customers.
