23 year old ready for marriage season one finalist, Albertina Mayuya who died on Thursday this week will be put to rest tomorrow.
According to a family representative and brother to the deceased, Peter Mayuya, Albertina fell ill last Saturday and was only diagnosed with malaria later on Thursday.
He says upon detection of the malaria, she was placed on medication which did not improve her state and later died the very Thursday.
Mr. Mayuya says burial will take place at Chunga cemetery in Lusaka tomorrow Sunday 13th November 2011.
Albertina who took part in season one of the MUVI TV reality got married in November 2009.
She is survived by a husband and a one year old child.
Meanwhile, her Husband Jabulani Keswa has described her as an honest and hardworking individual who will be greatly missed for her social but humble nature.

You got yo facts mixed up Lungowe. Albertina was in R4M Season1, not 2. I knew her fairly well. So I really doubt that she had a lot of ‘turning around’to do. It’s a pity R4M is now synonymous with prostitution…

Losing a loved one is a tramatic experience which calls 4 support frm evryone. Life can sometimes seem 2 be meaningless. But God in His word said its appointed 4 a man 2 die once, thereafter judgement. Look 2 God Bro. Jabulani as u morn ur dear wife,as u go thru such a trying moment,may God comfort u.
Surely this death was very potentially preventeble and avoidable. Lets learn to have early diagnosis by taking malaria slides. Too bad they acted late. MHSRIP.

Albertina was never a prostitute to turn her life around. To thoz of us who knew her life, she was ever a dedicated to her God as an adventist. The family is the most God fearing i ve ever knwn. I last met her on the 19th october b4 she left 4 the family camp-meeting in kmposhi, her generousity i wil miss. she was a sista to me. Bro. She was one of the consistant girls in the R4M session one. Even when she got “uncalled for criticism” she always smiled and took it well. I massively voted for her to be in the top three because in my opinion her character was exceptional. May her soul rest in peace and may Jabu, the baby and family member’s be comforted by God. Bo Lungowe, you are mistaking her for having being in the just ended R4M. She was a contestant in the first session when the late Augustine was host and founder of the show.

Yes it was preventable, especially that she did go to the hospital on saturday but diagnosed only on thursday, too much time lapse. May her soul rest in eternal peace and may her family find comfort in the Lord as they deal with their loss.
