ZIMBABWEAN Banned From Using British PUBLIC TOILETS
A ZIMBABWEAN man has been banned from using British public toilets anywhere in England and Wales for the next five years.
Kimpton Japajapa, of Northampton, has been issued with a five-year Criminal Anti-Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) at Northampton Magistrates’ Court banning him from urinating or defecating in any public place in the country, other than in a urinal or toilet.
Under the terms of the order, Japajapa is also banned from causing harassment, alarm or distress to anyone in public while drunk.
He faces up to five years behind bars if he breaches the terms of his Criminal Anti-Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO).
According to zimdiaspora, the 41-year-old Zimbabwean was arrested earlier this month and has also been sentenced to a total of 12 weeks in prison for charges of failing to surrender, theft, indecent exposure and being drunk and disorderly.
Japajapa, who has been in the UK since 2002 and previously did voluntary work at the Soup Kitchen, was given the CRASBO after he was caught going to the toilet in public places in Northampton town centre, including Greyfriars bus station, often while drunk.
He had previously been housed in Perry Street, off Kettering Road, by the alcohol and drugs charity, CAN, but was evicted for poor behaviour, police said.
Japajapa was then sent to the Resettlement Centre, in Oak Street, in Northampton town centre, but was again ejected for his behaviour, which included urinating and defecating both inside and outside the property. In 2007, Japajapa spoke to the Chronicle & Echo about how he had arrived from Zimbabwe in 2002 as an asylum seeker, leaving his family behind, and told how he had worked as a kitchen porter and maintenance worker for a hotel chain.
The CRASBO and custodial sentence comes after 12 statements were given to police by Greyfriars bus station staff, members of the public, police officers, as well as Northampton Borough Council, CAN and NAASH employees.
Councillor David Mackintosh (Con, Ecton Brook), leader of the council, said he was not prepared to let people “blight” the town centre.
He said: “The council will continue to work with our partners to bring cases like this to court.
“It is completely unacceptable for anyone to act in this manner, the vast majority of people have a lot of pride in our town and respect for others.
“We are not prepared to stand back and see their lives blighted by this kind of behaviour.”

Wrong and misleading headline. The man has not been banned from using public toilets. Rather, he has been banned from turning public places into toilets! In other words, he has been banned from urinating in public.

In future I suggest that the editor should read the story before putting the headline. The text of the story clearly states that the magistrate prohibited Kimpton from urinating or defecating in any public place EXCEPT a public toilet. Therefore your headline is the OPPOSITE of what the story reveals.
Northampton happens to be my original home town, and I wonder if Kimpton was not passing an opinion on the place. And Greyfriars Bus Station is a truly horrible nightmare, and Kimpton may have been moved to make his own distinctive little contribution to that nasty smelly place.
Futhermore, my grandmother’s nice little house was one of the many that was bulldozed to make way for that ugly bus station. Maybe Kimpton was expressing an opinion on behalf of the dispossessed.

I bet this chap is on state welfare benefits, Zimbos men are very useless, very backward, dull chaps most of them are staunch supporters of Mugabe yet they have claimed asylum in the UK… ati running away from persecution ,it’s only the young one who are starting to see the importance of college and university education.
