SATA GRABS Council Guest House GIVES It To CATHOLIC Church As He DECLARES PF’s Honeymoon OVER

REPUBLICAN President Michael Chilufya Sata has grabbed and given government owned guest house through the local (council) authority, Mpanda Fishala Council Guest House to Mpika Diocese of the catholic church with immediate effect on Sunday 11/27.
He has since directed Mpika Council to immediately hand over the Guest House to be used as home for retired priests.
He said this sunday 11/27.
And President Michael Sata says the honeymoon for PF after the triumphant entry into government is over.
Mr. Sata says all PF MPs and Councillors must immediately get down to work and address people’s needs.
He said this during a thanks giving mass held in his honour at Chilonga Catholic Mission in Mpika on Sunday 11/27 afternoon.
President Sata has also urged PF MPs in Mpika to regularly visit Chilonga Mission and help address challenges at the Centre.
Meanwhile, President Sata has appointed PF Isoka MP Malozo Sichone as Muchinga Province Minister.
President Sata says the new Minister should immediately get to work and begin to construct Chinsali as Provincial headquarters.
He made the announcement of the appointment in church at Chilonga Mission.
President Sata has directed Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba to relay the message to Mr. Sishone.

I was hosted at Chilonga in 2008, free food and accomodation. They have several challenges. However, I don’t wish to take a stance on this move. Let him also give us muslims, we are in need.

We are in big trouble Mr sata has no regard for anybody and he thinks Zambia is for Catholics,if this is true let him reverse this decision immediately we don’t need jokes this time around.

Our beloved Presendent and our hope of change remember that, people are wacthing what ever you are doing.PF is not Roman Catholic only and retired Priests are not only found in the Roman Catholic Church.I hope his excellence ment THE Universal church because CATHOLIC means Universal and this includes every Christian and every retired Priest from any church.

  5. Sikulubing'i   November 28, 2011 at 10:09 am

He should reverse this move with immediate effect as this indicates to strong tendencies of dictatorship as well as childish on party of our president. If Catholics (empire) are rational, principled & always fight for the poor eg 90% of all our concils in Zed are on death beds, they should humbly decline this offer.

The mark of the beast has started working, brethren. Watchout for the 666 mark.

Has Telesfo Mpundu retired?. May be Sata is rewarding his brother in law?

What kind of a president reasons like this? Only a mad one. Councils in this country need all the resources at their disposal to perform. On one hand he is promising reforms that would empower local government on the other hand he is robbing the people off what belongs to them. If he wants to make decisions and he respects decentralisation likehis manifesto states, he is not supposed to make such a unilateral decision against local government. What people must know is that local government is also government just as good as central government and until people starting respeting this, Zambia willremain underdeveloped. My worry now is whether Mr. Micheal Sata really knows and understands what it means to be president or he is just trying to be father chrismas. This is ridiculus and must not be condoned.

Can someone please help BaSata on this one! was procedure followed for the grabbing or what really went wrong with the council personnel and where are they going to get their salaries from for their livelihoods?

  10. Shaddie   November 28, 2011 at 11:13 am

l agree with Sikulubing’i. Almost all the Councils in Zambia are in coma. And since his coming to power he has never mentioned an immediate planning to bailout this Council. Ok, he has grabbed the structure, can he please as a matter of urgency communicate what will be given to that Council. By the way was he aware that that guest house is on lease nad the leasee has invested so much to rehabilitate it. Decisions without consulting are costly. the decision has come at a wrong time.

At times ignorance is better than incoplete knowledge. Most of the things in Northern province were constructed by the missionaries, schools, hospitals, and other buildings. During the era Kaunda was introducing Humanism, he claimed almost all missionary run institutions and made them parastatal that includes the guesthouse in question! Now that the guesthouse is defunct, know one whould wish to spend on something that is not bringing income, so it is just inevitable that it has to be retuned to its rightful owners the catholic church. I dont see any reason for quables here!!!

In all fairness, Mphanda Fishala guest house has been a run down structure for many years – in fact since the eightees when poachers/trophy dealers wiped out all the rhinos and almost all the elephants in the Luangwa valley. These were the main clients who found the guest house convinient for their evil business as it is out of town. Now this ruin, an eye sore, is just adjacent to Chilonga Mission who have built a nursing school and hospital etc. Its a well deserved offer but I dont agree with the idea of housing retired priests and I hope Bishop Chama will find some use that will benefit the local community.

Walasa CK let the Presido grab even all the schools and hospitals that KK got and give them back to the catholics.

    Next please

  14. Dodod!   November 28, 2011 at 11:40 am

imwe, you are too keen on the presido’s mistakes, what will you say when next he gives charity to ba Chitawala/Jehova’s witnesses or other denominations? give him a chance to make his mistakes, you never commented such about the graviouse mistakes Banda made, ninshi elo mwacha??

Can someone tell me why basata is just giving away a property to a church with buying power…yes he is catholic but that’s not the church in Zambia, as a president he should make decisions beyond his affiliations. my vote was a waste.

  16. Mulimba   November 28, 2011 at 11:45 am

Zambian is a christian nation not a Catholic nation. No differance between Sata and Liato.

  17. Twasebana   November 28, 2011 at 11:55 am

Retired Catholic Priests are people like you and me – Zambians, who need to be accommodated. There is nothing wrong with this decision. Can anyone tell me how the community benefited from the guest house in question? It was probably just used in the same manner as the one with video cameras. My hope is that if these retired Priests are accommodated, then room will be created for the very many orphans and vulnerbale children the Church looks after. Think, think and think before you start your insults just because thats the only language you know..

  18. TRUMPETER   November 28, 2011 at 12:12 pm

I always thought the MARK OF THE BEAST will begin in developed nations first, but no, its in Zambia. Our P behaves as tho he is in the secret society.
Our P risks isolating CATHOLICS from all other congregations. Are the catholics the only pipo that voted him into power. WAWA in 2016 if u dont change yo behavior Mr. P.
Was procedure followed when this govt asset was given to these catholics. Mr P. is busy persecuting Dora for not following procedure yet he himself is not. DOES POWER BLIND PEOPLE? Give us our asset Mr excited P otherwise u wl kno us in the next ballot.

Ala ba Twasebana lekeni ine myasuke… ifi ifima guest houses fyama councls are just used as brethels for the patronisers, what ba Sata has done is infact recomendeble as it will have a positive impact on reducing the number of brethels in the country! i hope he gives away more of such or better stil turn them into business houses, clinics or pre-schools. IMWE MWEMBWA, NAGU BA MAX, I THINK YOU MUST HAVE BEEN THE EMPTY TINS IN SKOOL IF YOU CAN’T SEE WHAT GOOD SUCH STRUCTURES SIT ON. YOU SHOOT AIMLESSLY, OR IS IT THAT THATS THE ONLY LANGUAGE YOU KNO

The issue is not about the merits in the decision but the arbitrary exercise of power.Regardless of how good this decision may have been our president has shown that he is prone to excesses and it is too early in his term.Even the dcision to give the Malawi opposition a license is another excess the licences are given by ZICTA and not by the president

if the Catholic priesthood are wise enough and used by the holy Spirit, they will definitely refuse the offer!!! if not then they are stanist (not doing the will of God)…… God give President Sata a spirit of discernment and rule Zambia according to your will and not to catholicism!!!

Ba Sata, Councils do not belong to you. Reverse the order now. where do you think people visiting will be accommodated if you give this guest house to katolikas? Home for retired priests? whatever happened to their hefty pensions? I have never heard of a homeless retired priest!

  27. Awe   November 28, 2011 at 5:53 pm

I wonder if the same Man wil finish His term without severe going against the constitution. Wht is the difference between Sata and these other African dictators,His dictatorial tendencies wil one day back fire nd plz to his sympathisers, learn to be objectiv nd condemn whr the man is acting out of impulse. Its nt a matter of seeing positivs even amidst error. Why shud people sacrifice logic?

  31. Hussein Bin Gaddafi   November 29, 2011 at 6:41 am

    Bull sh*t …..
If he was moslem he couldn’t ve granted it to catholic believe me.
Abuse of office..yet again. The man takes no advice…he’ll fall like RB.
If he were ina hurry 2 work he’d ve converted that into a clinic and create employment for nurses…mo money in their pockets.
Catholic cn build what they want when they want…y givin then dat ? Are retired priests mo important than any other citizen ?
Think b4 u act ! Follow these steps.
    1. See
    2. Judge
    3. Get advise
    4. Implement(act)

  33. Joseyasi   November 29, 2011 at 9:21 am

In my opinion I prefer that place should be given to the Government so as to look after all old people not only the catholics. It would be unfair for Mr Sata to only recongnise the catholics. For your information Catholics have Kasis to keep the older people and also each parish have been given one person to look after.

  34. Joseyasi   November 29, 2011 at 9:36 am

Ba Sata needs prayers. I tell you lets pray hard otherwise we will be in problems. The man is over thinking. Beyond control. Where are the advisers? Are they doing the work or being paid for nothing.

  35. bed and breakfast   January 22, 2012 at 4:18 pm

You could certainly see your enthusiasm within the work you write. The sector hopes for more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to mention how they believe. At all times follow your heart.
