accident has increased by what percentage?
any plans to reduce percentage for new year’s day?
that is the time drivers will go crazy with intoxicated minds thinking they owe the roads.

Religious people say Dec 25. Is who’s Birthday again? Useless belief, instead of the news to be filled with good religious morals than immorals. Just shows how foolish the 25 Dec religious belief is.

Very sad indeed. Actually, such incidents increase across subsaharan africa in general. In Europe, Police say the increase in violence of around 5% is registered every festive season.

In Zambia, we have been consistently recording these trends and am happy to witness behavioral management campaigns from Zambian Breweries, RSTA etc- This is very positive. I also saw RSTA and police officials patrolling across Lusaka on Christmas eve. I urge them as a patriot citizen to continue with this noble cause.

    God bless us all!

THESE ARE NOT ACCIDENTS! An accident is supossed to be an unforeseen, shocking, undesirable, and unplanned event. When you get uncontrollably drunk and decide to drive it results in a predictable CAR CRASH and not an accident – all of us know, expect and therefore don’t get shocked if a drunk person crashes their car into another car or pedestrian. Same with pedestrians who get drunk and decide to walk on busy highways. These are bad habbits that both drivers and to a limited extent pedestrians are always warned against during the festive period, but it seems excitement always prevails. VERY SAD INDEED, MTSRIP!

When making such statements there should be documented comparisons, don`t just say there was an increase from how many?

Agreed with wanu ngwee. However, I thought this time around, the accidents/predictable car crashes would reduce coz I met RTSA and I was impressed. They had to capture my breathe in their device. I can’t imagine of an increase due to their presence. But perhaps they only did this in Lusaka. I would like to urge them cast their net wide.
