SATA Fires SECRETARY To The Cabinet, JOSHUA KANGANJA, With IMMEDIATE EFFECT

SATA

REPUBLICAN President Michael Sata has with immediate effect axed Secretary to the Cabinet Dr Joshua Kanganja.
President Sata has since thanked Dr Kanganja for the service he rendered to the country.
Sata however said, should need arise, Dr Kanganja will be consulted.
Dr Kanganja was recently put to task by republican President Michael Sata over the allegedly signing of illegal contracts by the 28 defense generals during the corrupt-tag-MMD regime.
He has served in the three government adminstration of Late President Mwanawasa, Rupiah Banda and until his dismissal in Sata’s Patriotic Front (PF) adminstration in the position of Secretary to the cabinet.
A Cabinet Secretary is almost always a senior official (almost always a civil servant) who provides services and advice to a Cabinet of Ministers. In many countries, the position can have considerably wider functions and powers, including general responsibility for the entire civil service.

    time to gather stones, time to throw stones;
    time to wilt, time to blossom;
    time rejoice, time to mourn;
    time to bear, time to abort;
    time to insult, to appreciate;
    time to love, time to hate;
    time to puke, time to swallow;
    time to see, time to be blind;
    time to laugh, time to cry;
    time to appoint, time to disappoint;
    time to hire, time to fire.
    time to come, time to go.
    time to be sick, time to be healed.
    two or three of these are apt to joshua.

    @Munalian: I think we’re saying the same thing. Am advocating for a younger person without necessarily compromising on qualifications and experience, and in so saying I am looking at someone in his/her mid to late 40’s. Graduates that joined the civil service after leaving university at the age of 24 and have continuously served govt for 15 years would only be 39 years old. Of course the period of service is not all that matters – the nature and suitability of their experience must count. But since the retirement age has been increased to 65, you’ll see them appointing a 60 year-old!! Weed energetic people in key positions in order to be effective and efficient. It hurts for instance to be having half of parliamentarians asleep during very important debates because they’ve too much mileage on them!

    @jhalala2007:
    joshua was fired long time ago when the appointment of xavier chungu leaked as permanent secretary to lp. next on the list to be fired is chibilikiti. the man is on low profile of late.

    Big mistake. His Excellency should have extended his contract, brought in some young chap to learn the Civil Service at least for a year. He ran his race and served the nation well.

  18. Bakamushi   December 29, 2011 at 11:04 am

    Point of Correction. The Mans contract came to and end and he refused to renew his contract. The use of “fired” and “relived” is all wrong adn sends a wrong message. The man was not fired but prefered not to have his contract renewed…..

    Mumba Kapumpa, i would nt be surprised. wat do you expect from a govt that has moved from ‘Dont Kubeba’ to ‘dont Kudabwa’ expect more drama to unfold. its the change you voted for. my foot!!!!

    Its not about provincial inclinations. Kanganja was an idiot at the top of a currupt psmd. More fools need to be sucked for their nepotic tendencies. On zambia, one nation.
