Eto’o launches Set’Mobile

Cameroonian soccer star Samuel Eto’o has launched his own mobile phone network, Set’Mobile, in Cameroon.
The company that was recently registered in the country was launched on Thursday in the economic capital Douala.
Set’Mobile becomes the third mobile network after Orange and MTN. The mobile network was launched in the presence of the Indomitable Lions captain.
Set’Mobile, which bears the initials of Eto’o's name, hopes to be a major player in the mobile telecoms sector.
The ceremony was attended by a cross-section of business personalities and regulators, and also attracted fans.
The mobile network also hopes to impact on the socio-economic development of Cameroon.
With a capital base of 100 million CFA, the company has a general manager and associate partner Charles Gueret, who hopes to make the company very accessible to the population and make an impact in the market.
The general manager said Set’Mobile will drop the cost of calls, while offering services such as calls, sms and internet access.
Prior to launching his own network, Eto’o had been the ambassador of one of the mobile operators, Orange.
It is believed that Eto’o's popularity in the country will help attract customers to Set’Mobile, especially youths

He is a blessed man ….and from generation to generation …he will always be blessed.
I like this guy he is always aiming high and if he was white he would won many times as a world footballer of year ….But you see how God is ,he has shown this humble guy the big brains as an african child of God how to make further good money…and be the first black african to set up a mobile company.

I expect to see this man on the cover of Forbes Africa very soon.
Meantime our players are drinking chibuku in Chilenje. FAZ needs to help our stars – introduce a mandatory insurance scheme for all players that they can fall back on in future. Food for thought.

If you try that in Zambia the will accuse you of corruption and have ZRA, ACC, DEC,OP and police set on you. The will pursue you until you are broke through paying legal fees its up to you try it. Here only foreigners should invest because in Zambian if you a successful politician you are corrupt, if you are clergy or ordinary successful citizens you are a satanist. No one in Zambia is allowed to succeed.

Cn no munobe alangizi muli’fipuba, Chilemba is right, eimwe aba supporter blindly. You n I both know that 95% of people who have made it in zambia have been accused of corruption and companies made by zambians have been brought down by zambians and their leaders and examples are zambian airways and zambezi airlines. Another example just incase u don’t read as noticed earlier, Kavindele wanted to bring Vodacom, what happened. The fact is zambians don’t like seeing fellow zambians succeed and that’s why we all have it difficult to. Lovely comments guys, happy new year.

Forgot one thing, succesful zambians are acused of satanism too. I will be very if some of these alligations are proven. And for arguments sake, don’t u people think companies like Zambian airways and Zambezi airlines shud have been bailed out by the government instead of shutting them down? I feel like we are actually increasing unemployment levels instead of creating more jobs by doing so.
