HARARE- A lustful and adulterous Epworth landlord was recently banished from his homestead after he held his neighbour’s wife captive for four days in his house for a series of sex romps.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night when Phillip Dube, 40, was caught red-handed being intimate with a married woman Mecklina Charanganwa, 25. Mecklina is married to Tendai Hunda Magadu, 32, while Phillip is a single parent preying on married women, according to sources!
The ‘cheating lovebirds’ explicit sexual exploits came to light when Mecklina was spotted by neighbours peeping through the window of their love nest, presumably for some fresh air after rounds of sordid sexual romps in the crammed two-roomed cottage.
H-Metro has been informed that concerned residents mobilised each other and besieged Phillip’s house and found the two as busy as rabbits.
“This man deserves a thorough hiding. How can he cheat with his neighbour’s wife? It’s totally unacceptable,” shouted an irate man among the angry mob who was baying for Phillip’s blood.
“We are no longer comfortable staying with this man in our neighbourhood because he preys on married women. He must find alternative accommodation or go to the village where his family stays.
“To be honest, I can’t believe that he was having an affair with Magadu’s wife as the two are close neighbours. Had it not been for the brave men who forcibly entered Phillip’s house and found the two naked, this affair could have gone for ages,” fumed a disgruntled resident.
The disgraced Phillip CONFIRMED to H-Metro that he kept his neighbour wife captive for four days when she had left her house after a domestic dispute.
“Of course I was finally caught but it was not my fault because Magadu used to neglect and starve his wife each time he travelled to Botswana,” said Phillip. We were half-naked as she was putting on her skirt and I was putting on my trousers.
“The men entered the house when she was putting on her blouse and I was also puffing my cigarette without a shirt. Prior to that, I had asked for sexual favours from this lady because I have been helping her several times with money and food during this man’s absence,” he said.
Phillip has vowed to comply with the residents’ orders to leave the neighbourhood.
“The whole neighbourhood is against me so I have no choice but to leave my house. My family is in Mberengwa so that’s why I stay alone here. I will take my belongings to the police station before I look for alternative accommodation.
“We have agreed with Magadu that I will take Mecklina as my second wife and we are both comfortable with that arrangement,” said Phillip. Mecklina justified her shameful act saying Magadu was abusive and an irresponsible husband.
“We have been fighting since 2003 when we got married and the main issue is that of conjugal rights. “At times he would demand sex when I am not in the mood and I felt it sounds better to have it when we are both in the mood.
“I had no peace with this man so I decided to ask Phillip for help and he has been a shoulder to lean on since March last year.
“As for Magadu, he never bothered to give me money for transport when he chased me last Thursday and I had to ask for assistance from Phillip at 10pm. It was also raining and I sought refuge in his house until today when Phillip promised to give me transport money to travel to my rural home in Murewa.
“I am comfortable staying with Phillip because he is so caring,” said Mecklina. An enraged Magadu told H-Metro that he had no option but to ask his wife to pack her belongings and leave.
“Even if it were you, would you take back your wife after being snatched by a neighbour of 5 metres away from your house,” asked Magadu.
“I have ordered her to leave my house. All along, I thought she had gone to Murewa as she said unaware that she spent four days locked in Phillip’s house peeping through the window for my movements,” said Magadu.
When H-Metro left, Phillip and Mecklina were packing their belongings in the presence of the whole neighbourhood. They took their stuff to the police station for safekeeping as they sought alternative accommodation.
Police details moved swiftly to control the crowd that was baying for Mecklina’s blood as they called her all sorts of names.
