Zambian CHEFS Cooking For The CHIPOLOPOLO Boys At AFCON STRANDED

Chefs cooking Nshima for the Chipolopolo boys are stranded

CHEFS cooking for the Chipolopolo Boys at the ongoing Africa cup of nations in Equatorial Guinea have parted with the team due to exorbitant lodging fees at the team hotel.
The two chefs who have been lodging at the same hotel with players in Bata were made to go and look for accommodation elsewhere.
According to a source close to Muvi TV Sport, the chefs were given 365 US Dollars as accommodation allowance per night but the fees at the team hotel are as high as 380 US Dollars per night.
The two had to go and look for cheaper accommodation elsewhere in the night. When contacted for a comment, the two could not confirm nor deny the matter.
The chefs have been cooking Zambia’s staple food Nshima since the team came to Equatorial Guinea

$365 per night, why sleep at hotel, just find iule and per her $65 per night and save $300 for your family back in Zambia.

The chefs are doing the right job by cooking the staple food for our team.Rice is the staple food in west africa but which is not the case here.About accomodation FAZ is to blame. The chefs are supposed to lodge in the same hotel with the team.

There are not stranded just that the lodging fee’s are a bit too high you punk editor. Why do you want to kill your own. There’s nothing wrong with what they are doing,if I were them,I would get a $50.00 room to save more cash for my family.Thats just reality. WHICH ON-LINE NEWS SITE FROM A DIFFERENT COUNTRY HAVE YOU SEEN SHOOTING ITS OWN.SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!

  12. Sando   January 29, 2012 at 9:22 am

I only hope this won’t be used as excuse for poor performance to night.
The chefs are as critical to the teams as the players. Bemba saying” akabomba kabiye, Kamunda”

this online reporting we just learning after going to visit our stranded relatives overseas will lead us into trouble. they can only be stranded if the 365 USD was not given to them. all they are doing are cost cutting measures much better than rebasing the kwacha

Too Bad, We need our Cooks to lodge at the same lodge/hotel as our team. I believe FAZ is doing something about it, our boys/men need their Nshima!
We have sent one team to AFCON 2012 which includes the Cooks! Please FAZ look into their plight.
Kalu is in Guinea! I am a bit surprised why he has not sorted this out already! and why this has already gone to the press.
Ba Tumfweko Editor, please scrutinize your stories and do an impact analysis before publishing them! Tule Sebana Pulize!!!!

  22. Dr. Smash   January 29, 2012 at 7:22 pm

Umuntu bwali (nshima) and fckyou whoever is suppose to pay the chefs. How do u pay someone an allowance less than the hotel’s lodging fee? Where are they goin to be gettin the 15 US Dollars extra to smash a night every day? That aint fair and we just pray and hope that the chefs won’t strike so that our boyz continue eatin 5 fingaz.

Why didn’t FAZ just pay for their (chefs’)accommodation straight away? Fyonsefye kanofye balyamo! The chefs have an important role please. It all boils down to poor management, can someone advise Kalu please.

  25. MWAPE   January 30, 2012 at 9:57 am

Thats the official approved rate per day if you have travelled on official duties they probably just squandered their allowance and are hoping to dive at the hotel.

Thats is the common sense bwana, those people all what they want is to save which is not bad. and those that are blaming them just have to think twice.
