Prominent Lusaka Pastor, Emmanuel Banda of the popular Television Prayer Connection program has appeared in the Lusaka magistrate court for divorcing his wife just after five months in marriage according to MuviTv News
This is in an appeal case her ex-wife has made after the Local Court granted her 0ne Million Kwacha as compensation after dissolution of the marriage last month.
Appearing before magistrate Mwaka Mikalile, Pastor Banda’s his Ex-Wife, 26 year old Wezi Munthali is asking the magistrate court to review upwards her compensation claiming One Million Kwacha is too little. Ms. Munthali told the court that she also contributed in buying of household goods, from the time she started courting Banda up to the time they got married last year.
She says she never documented whatever she bought for the house because she respected her husband. Ms. Munthali disclosed that she never enjoyed her marriage because of her husband’s behavior.
She added that he forced her to take family planning pills against her will, but he impregnated a lady who is an usher at his church. Ms. Munthali also revealed that she found pastor Banda with some used condoms in his pockets while they were still married. Meanwhile, Pastor Banda aged 32 has refused to share property equally saying he bought most of it before he married Wezi. He says he was not ready to marry Ms. Munthali because someone had prophesized that if he did so, the roof of the church would be blown off.
He accused Ms. Munthali of not being fit to be a pastor’s wife saying she was in a hurry to get married. Pastor Banda also told the court that he would only share what they bought together and that it does not include the three cars and the house. Magistrate Mikalile has since set April 11th 2012 as Judgment day in the matter. Meanwhile, Pastor Banda’s sympathizers harassed MUVI TV Legal Reporter Francesca Banda as she tried to film him after the court case.

Some of these Churches and Pastors mushrooming nowadays are to be queried. Even if people are insulting PENTECOSTALS, its just that you are too immature to see – Its NOT PENTECOSTALISM, its COUNTERFEIT (CHARISMATICS). Try to find out how they got Born Again, if they have been baptised in the Holy Ghost, if they wwere mentored in a Pentecostal/Evangelical church, which Bible College they went to, if there is a true calling to ministry upon thier lives, what they are doctrine is all about etc. Nowadays, it does not mean that every tongue speaking church or Pastor is PENTECOSTAL. You will be shocked that they are actually UCZ, RCZ, Catholic, New Apostle etc. WHY CAN NT PEOPLE SEE THIS?
