Prominent Lusaka Pastor, Emmanuel Banda of the popular Television Prayer Connection program has appeared in the Lusaka magistrate court for divorcing his wife just after five months in marriage according to MuviTv News
This is in an appeal case her ex-wife has made after the Local Court granted her 0ne Million Kwacha as compensation after dissolution of the marriage last month.
Appearing before magistrate Mwaka Mikalile, Pastor Banda’s his Ex-Wife, 26 year old Wezi Munthali is asking the magistrate court to review upwards her compensation claiming One Million Kwacha is too little. Ms. Munthali told the court that she also contributed in buying of household goods, from the time she started courting Banda up to the time they got married last year.
She says she never documented whatever she bought for the house because she respected her husband. Ms. Munthali disclosed that she never enjoyed her marriage because of her husband’s behavior.
She added that he forced her to take family planning pills against her will, but he impregnated a lady who is an usher at his church. Ms. Munthali also revealed that she found pastor Banda with some used condoms in his pockets while they were still married. Meanwhile, Pastor Banda aged 32 has refused to share property equally saying he bought most of it before he married Wezi. He says he was not ready to marry Ms. Munthali because someone had prophesized that if he did so, the roof of the church would be blown off.
He accused Ms. Munthali of not being fit to be a pastor’s wife saying she was in a hurry to get married. Pastor Banda also told the court that he would only share what they bought together and that it does not include the three cars and the house. Magistrate Mikalile has since set April 11th 2012 as Judgment day in the matter. Meanwhile, Pastor Banda’s sympathizers harassed MUVI TV Legal Reporter Francesca Banda as she tried to film him after the court case.

CANCER IN THE CHURCH
Lack of fatherhood is really a serious
problem in the church today. God in His
infinity wisdom made it that for every
child to have a healthy growth and
become responsible human being, they
need a father. Fathers institutes discipline when needed and become roll
models for the child. That is why fathers
are expected to be of good behaviour for
them to be an example to their children,
as the the saying is true “like father like
son” When Christ came into the world, He
came as a Son to a Father; “John 5:19 ……
Most assuaredly, I say to you, the Son can
do nothing of Himself, but what He sees
the Father do; for whatever He does, the
Son also does in the like manner” What does this teach us? Why did Jesus
come as a Son to a Father? The son is
accountable to the Father, as the Father
is accountable to the Son for the two are
one, non does things on their own. The
Son is never independent of the Father. Christ came to show us the model for
ministry. Paul writes in 1 Cor 4:15, For though you
might have ten thousand instructors in
Christ, yet you do not have many fathers;
for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you
through the gospel. 1 Timothy1:2 “Unto Timothy, my own
son in the faith: ……” Paul
fathered Timothy in the faith and
ministry.
Philipians 2:19, But I trust in the Lord
Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of
good comfort, when I know your state.
20. For I have no man likeminded, who
will naturally care for yourstate.
21. For all seek their own, not the things
which are Jesus Christ’s. 22. But you know the proof of him, that,

gospel.(KJV) Today we have a serious problem in the
church, people do not want to be
fathered in the ministry. Actually the
majority of our ministries were not
started on good faith. Many started their
churches and ministries after running away from discipline from their pastors.
While others thought they were matured
enough to stand on their own
when they still needed mentoring. All
this is because of pride and lack of
fatherhood. Many of the so called fathers in ministry today
were not fathered and they do not have
fathers who speak in their
lives, that is why their so called sons are
living and conducting ministries as
orphans without fathers’ blessings. I got shocked this evening when I got
the news that one re-known TV preacher
of one church in Lusaka, Zambia,
divorced his wife after five months in
marriage and gave her K1 000 000
($200) as her settlement. The questions that came to me were; where is their
officiating master who married and
counceled them? Where is his spiritual
father to give him help? If one of his
elders or just a member is faced with the
same marriage problem what advice is he going to give to them? Is he then
going to get married again? Offcause,
what would one expect from such a
prodigal and orphan pastor! What would
stop him from marrying when he has
seen some of the so called city fathers of Lusaka changing wives, like three
times in three years! This kind of indiscipline and nonses has
to end in the church. We need discipline
back in the church. This shows this man
is an orphan in ministry. Like my
Spiritual father calls these type of
pastors orphan pastors running spiritual orphanage churches, he is right. What I fear most for are the members
following these kind of pastors, what
type of fathering and mentoring are they
getting from them? The ultmate purpose for the church is to
grow and reach the fullness in Christ. But
the so called shephards are so much
concerned with their selfish personal
motives to enrich themselves at the
expense of the church. Isaiah 53:6 is true even today, “All we like sheep have
gone astray; we have turned every one
to his own way;………”(KJV) Are you a pastor reading this?
Who is your father?
Who do you submit to for direction?
Who speaks in your life?
Who urshered you into ministry? How is
your heart condition towards him, does he carry authority
over your life or you have no one
speaking in you life? Be careful, for we are in the last days,
lack of fatherhood is a
serious CANCER in the church!

The pastor did well to divorce that golddigger. How can she claim property she had no role in procurement. How can a couple built a house in 5 months?. That i million she was given is enough. let us not force marriages. allow people to be happy. the pastor has s strong defence and given that this is a magistrate court and not the kangaroo local courts, i expect that the magistrate will find in favour of the pastor. This is what I wrote in response to a Nevers Mumba article I read on this site. I was responding to Kay Mbewe’s defense of Nevers Mumba…. These so called preachers have gone too far.
Yeah Kay Mbewe, you are trying to bring that “touch not the Lord’s anointed” line to us. This time this foolishness will not work. It sounds as though you are Nevers Mumba or his blinded fan bringing on a defence. Well in my opinion people are really pissed off by this hypocrite. Albeit they are using insults to air views and grievances, which does not solve anything but remember people are really angry and fired up especially considering this person, Nevers Mumba is an imposter, a liar and thief and heaven knows what else.
I for one believe that Nevers shall get his just deserves from the throne of the Almighty….him and other deceitful preachers such as, Danny Pule, and let’s not forget the foreign based false preachers; Benny Hinn, Reinhard Bonnke Trinity Broadcasting Services – Jan Crouch is the woman with pink hair, what a shame. Why would any sensible Zambian sit and listen to such baloney! These individuals shall be judged accordingly as they too have shamelessly stolen from people using the name of God. Coming all the way from their countries, colluding with individuals such as Nevers and Danny to rape poor Zambians out of their hard earned cash. Wearing the “collar” of God and instructing people on how to live holy lives when they do not. Look at these people’s lives, they are messed up. They are womanizers, money mongers, debauchers, using the Lord’s name in vain and lord knows what other sins they have committed that common folk do not know of.
I do not believe that Mumba is a “man of god” but he is just your regular two timing thief/ kawalala. Nevers has shamelessly prostituted the Word of God and has sold his soul to the devil. He is conceited and ignorant and does not know anything about governing a church or a nation. He is also a thief in that he has stolen from the widows and orphans by making them give him tithes and offerings. False gospel preachers such as Nevers have a special place in hell. Believe me, he shall be punished by the Almighty if he does not repent now and turn away from his transgressions.
On another note, people of Zambia, refrain from insults. I believe you can air your grievances without insults. Hurling a couple of insults does not help. Just keep on writing when you come across charlatans such as Nevers. The power of the pen is mighty because you can present your anger in a dignified manner and win against this prevailing evil that is enveloping our precious country of Zambia.
