Kitwetimes.com reports that the ruling Patriotic Front(PF) government has with immediate effect warned female journalists who are fond of dressing immorally when covering national events to desist from doing so.
Journalists have since been told to dress properly, presentable when attending state functions and not to wear mini-skirts and low cuts that shows almost half their buttocks.
The PF government has however said it is morally wrong for journalists to wear skimpy bedtime clothes.
The PF government says ‘We are not interested in them showing buttocks and we shall not condone immoral dressing’
Regulating dressing or modest is one way in which women are controlled. In most religions, they have codes for women but not for men. One can not see it because some Zambians have internalized it.
