BLACK AND WHITE TWINS BORN TO A BLACK COUPLE TURN 7

One is black and has big brown eyes. The other is a blue-eyed blonde with the palest of skin.

They might share the same cheeky smile, but side by side, they could hardly look less alike.

Yet remarkably, Kian and Remee are twins, born a minute apart.
Mother Kylee Hodgson and father Remi Horder both have white mothers and black fathers.

The startling result is a two-tone set of delightful little girls.

Mother Kylee Hodgson and father Remi Horder both have white mothers and black fathers.

The startling result is a two-tone set of delightful little girls.
Kylee, now 25, recalls the moment she saw them for the first time: ‘I noticed that both of them had beautiful blue eyes,’ she said.

‘But while Remee’s hair was blonde, Kian’s was black and she had darker skin. To me, they were my kids and they were just normal. I thought they would start to look the same as time went on.’

Time, however, only accentuated their differences. Kian’s eyes changed colour and her skin got darker. Remee’s complexion got lighter and her curly hair stayed blonde. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Kylee found herself fielding questions about whose children they were, or who Kian’s fair-haired friend was, when she pushed them in their side-by-side buggy.

‘People would ask me why I dressed the children the same,’ Kylee said. ‘I’d just say: “because they’re twins,” and leave people to work it out. It kind of irritated me at first, but everyone in my area got to know they were twins and accepted it. It was only strangers or outsiders who didn’t know.’

Although they share a common bond, the twins are already doing things their own way.

Now, approaching their seventh birthday, they have never asked why they don’t look the same, nor have they ever experienced any racial prejudice.

Kian and her 60-second older sister were delivered in April 2005 by caesarean section.

    Much as there’s that possibility of both parents carry a gene (xx) for white skin and blue eyes,there’s that possibility as well that some mischief took place!Therefore,we cannot rule out the possibility of a white man fathering the twins! I would urge the man to go for a DNA! (Please, am not from Barotseland,kikkkkkkk!)Ba Ngoni ku mmawa,analume ngayongayo!

    strange to hear,but it might be a normal situation,let’s not judge their mother.though a DNA is required.

    This is normal although rare. Before you accuse the woman of anything silly just look at the two girls. There is a remarkable resemblance of facial features if you have to ignore their respective skin colours. I wouldn’t doubt they were fathered by one man unless iam a scandal monger

    April 2, 2012 at 10:55 am

    its not impossible ..let me explain by genetic diagram… assuming the gene for skin color is K… we know that black is dominant…
    so big K…is black and small k is white! we know that their grandmothers were white and assume that thier grandfathers were black… this is how it looks
    Grandparents= Kk х kk grandparents=Kk х kk

    parents= Kk:Kk:kk:kk parents=Kk:Kk:kk:kk
    from here we see that from a black man and white woman there is 50 percent chance of having a white baby and black(colored) baby… its not that tough! so considering these two are colored parents(in US , they considered black)
    parents= Kk х Kk

    children=KK Kk Kk kk
    as we see in this diagram, there are 25 percent chances that the child will be black, 50 percent that the child would be black(colored(i.e lightskinned)) and 25 percent that it would be white…yes from black parents!
    now to answer the question..yes they are twins… non identical twins born from two different sperms…and two different ova’s(some women release two ova’s from their ovaries during thier periods..its rare but it happens! and the genetic makeup of sperms is different… so thats how one has the makeup of

    Kk= black, and the other kk= white! its very very possible! been born as twins… such as that, their DNA proves that he will be the father..actually in such cases the dna is registeres immeidietly after birth..

    Genetics, Genetics. Only the intelligent can really understand this topic. If you’ve been to school, You will know that it is possible for such a thing to happen. Stop expressing your ignorance and try and read on the topic. In your mind do you think it is possible for twins, that are formed from one fertilised cell that divides into two babies, to be fathered by two men! Just checking.
