Head Teacher Gets 17 Years For Defiling Pupil
A 48-year-old teacher has been sentenced to 17 years imprisonment by magistrate court in Mukushi for defiling a 14-year-old pupil.
ZANIS reports that Peter Mwila of Kanyeshi basic school was slipped with sentence yesterday as punishment for his unlawful act against the pupil at the school.
Facts before the courts are that, Mwila had carnal knowledge of the girl between December 2 and 5 2011 leading to his arrest by law enforcers
Magistrate Victor Mukupu found Mwila guilty of contravening section section 138 (1) of the penal code Chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia as read in act number 2 of 2011
And in a separate conviction for another sexual offence, a resident of Itala compound in Mkushi was also sentenced to a 17-year jail term for defiling a toddler aged three

Facts before the courts were that the convict had carnal knowledge of the minor last month
Meanwhile Nkombo Kachemba reports that police in Kitwe have launched a manhunt for three suspected rapists who allegedly broke into a house in St Anthony township and took turns in raping a woman
Copperbelt police commissioner Mary Tembo said the suspect broke into a house around 03:00hours on Wednesday morning and dragged the woman to a nearby bush where they raped her.
“We are looking for three men who raped 23 year old woman of St Anthony Township. We have to bring them to justice” Ms Tembo said
And a 14 year old girl of Chimwemwe Township had been defiled by two men.
Ms Tembo said the girl was raped near pipelines in Chimwemwe Township and police are looking for the suspects
She said the men persuaded the girl to escort them to their destination, but on the way took her to the bush and defiled her. “The two men asked the girl if she could accompany them to their destination. The girl agreed but on the way they defiled her.
The girl can identify one of the men because she knows him as her friend’s boyfriend,“ she said.

parents teach your kids to say no to stangers and to be alone with a person in a room or any where and to be protective of their private parts. tell them NO ONE SHOULD TOUCH YOU HERE AND THERE IF THEY DO BABY TELL MUM OK…….. EVEN IF THEY PROMISE TO GIVE YOU GIFTS OK. LETS KEEP OUR CHILDREN WERE WE CAN SEE THEM. IF THEY ARE AT SCHOOL MAKE SURE THAT THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE CHILD REMAINS THE SAME IF THERE IS CHANGE WERE THE KID WITHDRAWS THEN ACT
