Ayew Blow For Ghana Ahead Of Zambia Match

Ghana will be without Andre Ayew for the country’s 2014 World Cup qualifying matches against Lesotho and Zambia in June.

The 22-year-old has been ruled out of action for two months after he underwent a successful operation to repair his troublesome shoulder injury in Lyon on Tuesday.

The absence of the impressive winger will be a massive blow for newly appointed boss Kwesi Appiah who will need to present his best arsenals for the game against a Chipolopolo side that killed the ambitions of the Black Stars at the 2012 African Cup of Nations.

Their painful 1-0 victory over the Black Stars ensured the team’s quest to end a 30-year drought for a trophy was delayed.

I think it’s bad news for Zambia too,in the sense that we a strong Ghana and if we beat them then we know we have a consistent formidable side.

This is neither good news for Zambia nor for the Black Stars. we are Champs so we need to beat any opponent when they’re at their best!

Zambia has been performing well against Ghana in competetive games. In 1988 we beat them at Independence stadium 2-0 but we lost a return match in Accra 0-1 and we qualified for Olympic games in Soul, South Korea. In 1996 we beat them in RSA 1-0 to clinch the third place via a Joe Bwalyas goal. In 2012 we beat 1-0 in AFCON semi final via a Mayukas goal. So to me even if they import Messi and Ronaldo to help them we will still beat them. With or without Ayew we will beat them.

Please Zambians, with or without Ayew we will score you. We have to pay you back in your own coin just as you did to us in AFCON.
