This action has been long overdue to restore people’s confidence in the judiciary . The rulings in the Chiluba cases and Dora (GWAT) were all made in the state house. These and stories of judges collecting building material from supplies in town for free – they say no smoke without fire.

Unfortunately a few bad eggs are messing up the whole judicial system.

There is no confidence in the judiciary, Bwana Bishop. Where have you been? This kind of move by HEMCS might infact start to put some confidence in the judiciary. It is the people who want this change, not just MCS or PF. Be careful how you fight Sata, because you might end up going against the people’s will in the same stroke, and thus lose your relevance, just like HH and MMD are doing. They seem not to realize that by fighting Sata they are stepping on issues which many people among the electorate feeling strongly about, and as such they are alienating themselves from the voters. People are supposed to be thinking of what is in the best interests of the majority, not their petty sentiments against PF and Sata. You won’t get popularity or votes by fighting Sata. You will get these things by winning the people through representing what they feel they need, and a clean judiciary is one of those things, so whatever your feelings against Sata, keep the focus.
