Two Zambia Army officers have been sentenced to death by hanging for murder and aggravated robbery.
Lusaka High Court Judge Edwin Sikazwe sentenced Festus Shandulu and Namushi Ngundamai both of Luena Barracks in Kaoma, Western Province of Zambia.
On July 29th 2009 the two convicts whist acting together with other persons unknown did attack and stole about Nine Hundred and Fifty Million Kwacha from a Finance Bank vehicle which was ferrying salaries for government officers.
At the same scene the gang also murdered Chishimba Chisala and Chrispin Mushela both employees of Finance bank who were transporting money from ZANACO in Mongu to Finance Bank in Kaoma.
In passing judgment, Judge Sikazwe said he had no option but to sentence the duo to death following proof beyond reasonable doubt that they committed aggravated robbery and killed two people.

The fact that these guys who are trained at our expense as taxpayers, to defend us, used the very same skills to end lives of innocent citizens they’re supposed to be defending, is reason enough for them to face the death penalty, wish it could come earlier though…
I am appalled by people who sympathize with such hardened criminals to have another shoot at life by sentencing them to life.This animals must hang by the rope or be shoot by firing squad until pronounced dead.There is no way I am going to pay for their upkeep in prison by sponsoring their beans and nshima menu.No way! Already the prisons are congested with their kind.I am afraid they must die and meet their maker the same way they send their victims to meet their maker.

they have to hang as soon as possible, they have no right to life whatsoever, they killed people who where on a productive trip to deliver salaries. The people could have been paid late losing out on certain engangements because of these selfish idiots, good judgement but i hope the president will sign it immediately.
