Zambian Women In 4-1 Football Baptism

Zambia’s women coach Enala Simbeye broke down as reality dawned the ‘beautiful game’ was not for the faint-hearted when her side was baptized, yet again, 4-1 by South Africa at Nkoloma Stadium.

The Chipolopolo Queens have not beaten South Africa in recent times and unexpectedly, albeit, with massive embarrassment failed to get a decent result at home.

Only Kabange Mupopo’s 58th minute strike accounted for Zambia’s face-save at a packed sports arena whose crowd included former first lady Vera Tembo Chiluba.

Banyana Banyana went ahead in the 48 minute through Nkonko Matlon, before Nothando Vilakazi contributed a brace in the 64th and 73rd minutes Sanau Mollo’s 80th minute goal.

The Zambian team will travel for the African Championship return leg qualifier against South Africa in the return leg in two weeks time.

It is worrying that Enela is failing to come up with a winning formulae. I have heard from the grapevine that immoral behaviour has affected women’s football negatively. It is reported that two senior FAZ officials at Football House are having affairs with the Shepolopol coaching bench. As for the players, most despite their young age are in relationships and some are rumoured to be lesbians. This scenario requires investigation.
