Mayuka On Target In Chipolopolo Warm Up

Mayuka On Target In Chipolopolo Warm Up

Striker Emmanuel Mayuka scored for Zambia in the team’s 3-1 win over Pretoria Academy.

Defender Nyambe Mulenga of Zesco United and Power Dynamos skipper Joseph Sitali were on target for the team.

Zambia is warming up for Saturday’s 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifier against Sudan whose kick-off is set for 19:00 hours.
A week later Zambia will engage Ghana who play Lesotho in the other Group D fixture.

The Black Stars were also warming up against a local side side on Tuesday.

France-based Jordan Ayew scored twice as the Black Stars thumped second tier side Asokwa Deportivo 4-0 in a friendly in Kumasi on Tuesday.

Captain Sulley Muntari bossed the midfield as the Black Stars prepared for Friday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.

The AC Milan midfielder fired the Black Stars into the lead with a pile driver from 25 yards after turning his marker inside out.

Ayew doubled the Black Stars’ lead by converting a penalty after striker Dominic Adiyiah was brought down in the box.

Adiyiah made it 3-0 with a simple tap-in after Samuel Inkoom did the hard work on the right and fired but the goalkeeper failed to hold at the first attempt on the soggy pitch.

Ayew completed the rout after controlling Muntari’s long-range pass before angling in the ball from the edge of the box.

It was their second trial match of the day after beating State Envoys 3-0 earlier in the day.

Good preparation and good win but, we may need more games in before the Ghana game so as to not be embarrassed on home soil after officially becoming African Champions this year, won’t paint a pretty picture in the papers if we lose, so ante up the prep games Chipolopolo, just from a concerned fan 🙂

Headline is only explained in 2 paragraphs, and yet 8 paragraphs are talking about the Black Stars and how they played and shined!!!

Anyway, Zambia has the potential to win all the games! And qualify! Ghana are under pressure because of the name and the so called stars in their team!!! Where is Asamoah Gyan???

Wish to concur with Hugo Suave that it will be a huge embarrassment to lose on home soil after being crowned victors, so the need for adequate preparations will not be over-emphasized.We can’t treat any game with kid gloves coz we have a reputation to protect and our position on the FIFA rankings can only improve if more games are played and won.Good luck to the lads.

A good opportunity to prove to Ghana and the world that we’re gona be champions for a long time to come. For now they think they were just unlucky. We will show that we are simply a force to reckon with and we now, officially, rule Africa!

Go Zambia Go…! We are definitely behind u as u go on to prove to the World that we didn’t win the 2012 AFCON by fluke nor chance but by hard work & effort put in by the lads. The first game against Sudan will end Zambia 2- Sudan 1 and/whereas the Ghana match will definitely be a tough challenge as Ghana will by all means be trying to prove to the world that they were unlucky when we met in this year’s AFCON where they lost by a goal to nill courtesy of the renowned Mayuka lone goal. But I forsee that result repeating itself when we meet in Ndola.
