False Prophets Of Nigeria
Today all people claiming to be prophets are false, apart from those anointed prophets by God we reads in our holy bibles – including Isaiah, Daniel, Habakkuk, Jeremiah and many others . Countries like Nigeria they have more than eight million pastors, including five thousands false prophets busy stealing in the name of God world wide. This false prophets have taken advantages into foolish sleepy Countries like Zambia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Malawi, etc by extending their day light robberies gospel missions in those Nations . Stupid Christianity women are the most victims in those territories. They ends up bankruptcy, and being divorced by their men. They loose control within their mentalities, after joining those gospel churches from Nigeria. They becomes glazy and fanatic. They are mad women.
The Bible warns repeatedly of great falling away from the Christian faith that comes about through the ministries of false prophets (2 Thess. 2:3; 2 Tim. 3:1-5, 2 Tim. 4:1-3; 1 Tim. 4:1-3, 2 Pet. 2:1ff). Furthermore, in 1 John 4:1- we are admonished to “believe not every spirit, but test the spirit whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world”.
We are living in a day when these scriptures needs to be applied. If there ever was a day to test the spirits of prophets, now is the day, lest any sincere Christian people be led astray into a pseudo religion. Listed below are some of the characteristics of false prophets. May God use this characteristics to help you discern between truth and error, so that you may not be deceived!
False prophets rise up among God’s people
False prophets deny basic doctrines about Christ “denying the lord that brought them “ 2 Pet. 2:1
A false prophet will have a large following “many shall follow their pernicious ways” 2 Pet. 2:2
A false prophet is motivated by materialistic gain 2 Peter 2:3….”through covetousness shall … with feigned words make merchandise of you”.
False prophets are all thugs, big criminals who steals from stupid foolish Christians using the name of God.
A false prophet indulges in immorality “walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness” 2 Peter 2:10
All false prophets are prostitutes and womanizers
False prophets promote rebellion towards authority 2 Peter 2:10 ….”despise government self willed …….. not afraid to speak evils of dignities”.
All false prophets are professional and international conmen
A false prophet may be able to work counterfeit miracles “and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by means of those miracle which he had power to do in the sight of the beat”
All false prophets are great dirty liars and crooks
False prophets are known by their fruits “beware false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits “Matt. 7:15.16
A false prophet wrests the scripture to his own advantage “they are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scripture, unto their own destruction” 2 Peter 3:16
Not everyone who claims to speak for God actually does.
Matthew 7: 21 ”Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
The Bible repeatedly warns against false prophets. After Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Jerusalem, Jeremiah wailed,
Lamentations 2:14 The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The oracles they gave you were false and misleading.
Ezekiel railed the spin masters of his day, who covered up for the politicians.
Ezekiel 22: 27 Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain. 28 Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says’ when the LORD has not spoken.
Jesus was very concerned about false prophets:
Mt 7:15 Jesus said to his disciples: “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves.
Matthew 24: 4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ, and will deceive many. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
How do we tell who is a false prophet? Jesus tells us to look at the fruit:
Matthew 7: 16-20 By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So by their fruits you will know them.”
Luke 6:26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.
May Our Lord Bless Africa from this evils called prophets of Nigeria.

True men of God concentrate on what matters the most, even the preaching of the gospel of Christ so that us sinners turn from sin and embrace that everlasting God and King of Kings even Jesus. That is what causes headlines in heaven. As Jesus said “There is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than 100 people who do not need repentance.” It makes more sense to preach Christ and Him crucified than make these endless prophecies which do not lead a single soul to heaven. All the prophets of old preached Christ to come. Look at Isaiah 53 for instance, it is full of Christ. You can not miss that. An example is verse 6 “we all, like sheep, have gone astray,each of us has turned to his own way,and the LORD has laid on HIM the iniquity of us all.” All of them pleaded earnestly that people should turn to the LORD. Look at Ezekiel 33:10 etc. The one we have now are fake because as the arile above has put it they are after monetary gain. This is indeed a very sad state of affairs. Dear people of God let me end here and ask that the God of mercy opens our eyes and ears that we may truly see and hear that which matters the most and act on it for dear life’s sake. Amen !

yes i agree with all who say the truth pains. a lot of pipo have been hoodwinked. the lingo may be bad but the scripture is very clear. such prophets are around. you need insight to recognise them. those without insight are the ones who believe anything they see and hear and get hoodwinked. those who have insight heed jesus words from this scripture and can recognise these imposters. you need to be very careful.

Despite the article talking about over 5,000 failse prophets, its main target is TB Joshua, why? We all no the truth. Lets not judge, God will judge for himself. The bible says not all are false Prophets, just be careful with what you conclude and judge, after all the only genuine judgement as in who is real or false Prophet will have to be made by our almight GOD, not you mere bloggers

To say Nigeria has 8m pastors and 5,000 prophets is actually displaying ignorance, Nigeria has a population of over 150million people, so what is strange about the number of pastors.

There are Five Ministries that are generally refered to as ‘The Five Fold Ministry’ calling. These are:
Pastor
Teacher,
Evangelist,
Prophet, and
Apostle
.
These ministries are of equal importance to the body of Christ and in the sight of the one who calls people, i.e. God Almighty.

Now people, both Christians and religious, have found it very easy to accept, the teacher, the pastor, the evangelist,and the apostle; but have often struggled to accept the ministry of ‘Prophet’, yet all are called by the same God, and we understand them based on the same faith which comes by the word of God that has taught us these things.

Why is it that people have difficulties with the ministry of prophet, yet embrace the rest of the four ministries without many questions even when some office holders of the other four have very questionable teaching and conduct?
.
The same happens when a ‘pastor’ (or any christian) has the gift of healing or working of miracles.
Any pastor who does not work miracles or does not have the gift of healing is embraced and accepted, most often whole heartedly by people without questions. But one who will have the supernatural gifts will face fierce resistance.
This is not only now, but even from time immemorial because even Christ Jesus was called all kinds of names, not because he ‘Pastored’, ‘Evangelised’ and ‘Taught’, but because he ‘Prophesied’ and performed ‘Miracles’.

What is my personal thinking about the above scenario? My thinking is that the rest of the ministries may not much visibly demonstrate the power of God, but ‘prophecy’ and ‘miracles’ visibly demonstrate the power of God. This does not excite the DEVIL and he reacts immediately and visibly.
How and through who does the devil react? He reacts by opposition through first of all, the church leaders themselves, then others.
Christ did not face ooposition from pagans but from pharisees and saducees, who wear custodians of the word of God. In fact, Pargans were more than willing to follow Christ.
