Zambia has gained two places on the monthly FIFA monthly ranking table released this morning.
According to the chart, Zambia is now 41st on the world ranking from their 43rd position in June.
Chipolopolo, who lost to Sudan (0-2) and beat Ghana (1-0) in June, are still in sixth place of the African ranking.
Africa Cup of Nations runners-up Cote d’Ivoire top the continental chart and are 13th in the world with Ghana, Algeria Libya and Mali following through in that order before Zambia.
Egypt, recently bundled out of the Africa Cup of Nations, are seventh on the rankings with Tunisia, Gabon and Nigeria making the top 10 of the continent.
European champions Spain remain at the top of the world ranking with Germany in second place while five-time World Cup winners Brazil have for the fallen outside the top 10.

These rankings will not help us qualify for SA 2013. They wont help us qualify for Brazil 2014. The only thing that will help us qualify is playing good football and scoring goals pa field.
The Afcon qualification for 2013 has not even taken these rankings into any sort of consideration at all, no seeding nothing. The only team that can bring us a bit of trouble from the other pot is Senegal but even them will cry if they have to meet us. SA 2013 here we come to defend our title. chipolopolo iyeeee
