Kitwe Teenager Kills Sister With A Pounding Stick Over Nshima

A SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy in Kitwe has been arrested for allegedly
hitting his older sister to death using a pounding stick.

The boy apparently got upset over nshima and allegedly picked up a
pestle and hit his 18-year-old sister at their Mulenga Township family
house where she collapsed.

Sarah Mubanga, 18, of House Number MS 404, Mulenga Township was hit on
the back with the pestle by her brother, Kelvin, of the same address.

Copperbelt commissioner of police, Mary Tembo said the incident
occurred on Saturday around 18:00 hours.

After being hit, Sarah tried to run but failed because she was too frail after the attack.

Their landlord assisted the girl to get into her mother’s house but
she later died around 20.00 hours.

She had complained of a severe
 backache before she died.

Ms Tembo said Kelvin had since been arrested and charged with murder.

He would appear in court soon.

When you are able to 3meals in a day this story looks far fetched and you can comment jockingly about it.But reality in these compounds is that there is abject poverty and hunger such that people can kill even over shima. But come to think of if,just a few meters from this house is an FRA depot where maize is just roting.Ba Hon Chenda how many children should die b4 you sort out the mess at FRA and if possible give that left over maize at FRA depots to our suffering brothers and sisters otherwise if the boy had enough food he could fight over it,ala ninsala mu zambia eyalapwisha abantu
