Breaking News: Nkombo, Others Plot Ditching UPND, Angry With HH-William ‘Tekere’ Banda Marriage

Impeccable sources within the NMC have disclosed and indicated to Tumfweko that some senior party members are contemplating quitting the opposition party due to Hakainde’s alleged ‘marriage’ with Mr. Banda who they feel should not be his [Hakainde’s] advisor.
The sources named Mazabuka Member of Parliament Garry Nkombo, Party Spokesperson Charles Kakoma, and Siavonga MP Douglas Syakalima to be among other Party ‘bigwigs’ who are plotting to leave UPND.
The senior members are disappointed with the type of politics ex-deportee to Malawi ‘Tekere’ Banda has brought to the party.

The source explained that Hichilema was now panicking about Banda and was without choice but to expel him from the party rather than losing ‘important’ senior members.
“As we talk now there is a serious rift in our party. We don’t know how William Banda managed to convince Hichilema for him to be accepted and given the position of Presidential advisor”
“This is a man that Hichilema used to condemn because of his violence during his time in the embattled opposition MMD. And for your own information, Banda was responsible for the Livingstone by-election violence which left many innocent people physically injured,” said the sources.
Banda who last week made headlines when he tried to strangle a MUVI TV cameraman to death in full view of the police.
But when contacted for comment, Nkombo’s phone went unanswered by press time while Kakoma’s mobile phone was switched off.
Recently, UPND has been receiving embattled former MMD members who are still appearing in court on graft charges and interestingly a sycophant comedian Thomas Sipalo aka Difikoti.

I saw HH apologizing about the banda incident during his press conference. Talking about upnd being a champion of press freedom and the media shouldnt be afraid of them. ‘WE ARE SORRY’. I just realised that am not looking at a human being on my TV screen, am actually looking at a GIANT TESTICLE called HH. It is not william banda who got a job at upnd, it is HH who has gotten from william banda as his ‘CHIEF APOLOGIST.

It is not HH accepting WB, it is what HH Corruptly got from previous government.It all started when accessed 100 percent shares in the mines from North western province to broke PF-UPND pact.

Syakalima and Nkombo should not have held a press briefing to “threaten” resignation, but to announce that they’ve joined ELIAS CHIPIMO. PRESS CONCFERENCES SHOULD ONLY BE HELD TO ANNOUNCE RESOLUTIONS OR DECISIONS REACHED AND NOT JUST FLUFFING AROUND.

It is actually Garry Nkombo that would make a good leader, he is sober, calm and collected. Douglas is full of emotions, he has contributed to ruining HH’s political chances, if had any!!
Garry is a very balanced guy and would be able to work with anyone, regardless of where they hail from, I have interacted with both!!

Moonga, you’re right about the need for us Zambians to rise above tribal politics, but politicians like William Banda belong to the Stone Age and must left to retire. There are newer and more civilized ways of expressing our different opinions and preferences than the Willam Banda way, this man is bad for ANY PARTY and personally, it beats me how he connects with HH!!
