Kaoma Finance Bank K690 Million Snatchers Nabbed

A team of investigative police officers in Kaoma district of Western province have arrested two suspected robbers who stole over K690 million from Finance Bank in Kaoma.

And business in the town centre this afternoon came to a standstill for over an hour when a team of armed police officers took the two suspected criminals to demonstrate at the Finance Bank premises how they used explosives to blow off the serf at the bank, strangled to death the security guard from the Armaguard security firm, Edwin Kainda 55, of site and service in Kaoma.

Police officers had to use teargas canisters to disperse a huge angry crowd which came to witness the demonstrations at the Bank grounds.

Kaoma police officer %u2013 in- charge Rodgers Chiwila identified the arrested suspects to Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) as Victor Chiti 34, of Lilanda compound and Moshi Bogoma 34, a Tanzanian national of Kamwala south in Lusaka while unidentified four criminals are still on the run.

Mr Chiwila said police will not rest until all the suspects are brought to book so that the crime wave in the district and the entire country is reduced to manageable levels.

The two suspects have since been remanded in police custody to assist police with information leading to the arrest of the others who are still on the run.

And Kaoma district commissioner Joster Manjolo has praised the police officers for exhibiting professionalism in the manner perpetrators of crimes are being cornered.

Mr Manjolo said that every meaningful Zambian should assist apolice officers in the country so that criminals face the wrath of the law.

Western province recently experienced a spate of robberies where unknown criminals got away with billions of kwacha in Senanga ZANACO bank, Pep store and NATSAVE bank in Mongu and Finance Bank in Kaoma.

We should start hanging people to death instead of preaching about it, criminals think taking a life is cheap, they should pay with theirs. A life for a life nothing less!
