Government Assetss Sold Off? By Who?

Dear Editor,
As alot of things have changed and the PF government has taken over and reversed some of the sales which were effected by the previous  corrupt regime. One thing is still not being answered as  in the assets of these companies which were sold off.
For example  the former headquarters building for Zamtel was bought off by the late George  Kunda, Poteco is now owned by Festus Musonda. And also it is not clear  how and who sold the government Ndola swimming pool was sold off.
Please through your site can you bring out these issues like even the Zambia railways assets in Ndola most of the  buildings are now guest houses and student hostels.
Regards,
Anonymous.

Iwe MOJO, you need some MONK ANALYSIS. What kind of country operates without infrustructure? Railways equals communication/transportation. How can someone not ask about things like that? Grow up, or at least know what you’re talking about, or better still, shut up.

The writer is correct: there is a logical and transparent procedure to be followed in the acquisition or disposal of state properties, which must take place publicly! Remember ripe fyesu bonse ( Zambian citizens) ifi ka?? Someone MUST explain what exactly happened her!!

IF IT IS TRUE THAT LATE GEORGE KUNDA BOUGHT ZAMTEL HQ, THERE IS NEED TO GET CONCERNED AND BRING ALL CULPRITS INVOLVED TO BOOK. FROM WHAT I RECALL, THE PUBLIC WAS EVER NOTIFIED THAT SUCH STATE ASSETS WOULD BE SOLD! SO HOW DID IT HAPPEN?. THOSE IN GOVERNMENT THEN, WHO ARE NOT YET DEAD, MUST EXPLAIN OR GET ARRESTED.

Cheers abakonzi and jacob bronze, these baggas are being petit and speculative theres nothing like common knowledge at law, bring out more evidence of corruption before u ask us to shut up.And perhaps read the article again so that u can comprehend the contextual meaning of it.Otherwise i c no wrong in buying a property it be govt or not and as an interested buyer its not my duty to advise which property to be sold or not.grow up bloggers.

Folks, anyone has the right to question how state property was disposed of – without necessarily implying that something corrupt has taken place. but we all know that such disposal would have required to pass the test of transparencey, which is by public auction or public tender in the national electronic of print media. So if the new owners or any blogger feells aggrieved by a fellow citizen questioning the process, then they should deduce proof to the effect that the process was lawful, SIMPLE!
