Obama Resumes Campaign
After a three-day hiatus Presidential candidate, Barack Obama will resume his US election campaign on Thursday, boosted in his re-election bid by a resounding endorsement of his leadership from the Republican governor of New Jersey, who has been one of his fiercest critics.
The Democratic incumbent, tied in polls with Mitt Romney ahead of next week’s election, begins a two-day trip to the swing states of Colorado, Ohio and Nevada while his Republican challenger travels to Virginia.
Obama viewed flooded and sand-swept neighborhoods of New Jersey on a helicopter tour of the state with Republican Governor Chris Christie on Wednesday.
“The entire country’s been watching. Everyone knows how hard Jersey has been hit,” Obama told residents at an evacuation shelter in the town of Brigantine.
Storm Sandy left at least 64 people dead in the US, cut power from millions of homes and paralysed transport on much of the eastern US seaboard.
It made landfall on Monday night in New Jersey, where some 20,000 people remain trapped in their homes by sewage-contaminated floodwater.
In New York City, the storm brought a record tidal surge that swamped the subway system and caused widespread blackouts.
Earlier, it killed nearly 70 people in the Caribbean and caused extensive crop destruction in impoverished Haiti.

The election in America should give a lesson to Zambian,I would imagine if a debate was to be conducted between President Sata,HH and Nevers mumba,Chipimo and Nawaki and Miyanda.I can already guess that HH and Nevers cannot attend because they dort attend state functions and President Sata as per traditional some so called educated advisors might advise not to attend, but knowing my president he can come and attend the debate,The other lesson drawn is the campaign type they dort deal with insults but are very objective and looks at puting America no 1 in every thing,economy and maintain its Supper Power Unemployment and healthcare and what i have seen is the ablity of political parties raising money for compaigns before elections and the party in government does not take advantage of government resources as i have seen from the compaign.and it seems there is a Presidential elections on its own and the other elections on there own and when there are national issues they all come together and find solutions,
