Nematandi (back to camera) checking Mweene’s injury after he received treatment on the bus from the Zambian squad medical staff.
After the match Ugly Scenes on Wednesday evening characterised the Nelson Mandela challenge after the Zambia National Team Bus was ambushed by barabaric South AFrican fans who started throwing stone thereby shattering the bus windows as they were leaving the FNB stadium to their hotel, Kennedy Mweene and Felix Katongo were affected.
The barabaric fans were angered by Chipolopolo’s win of the Nelson Mandela challenge hence vested their anger on the innocent Zambians instead of their team ‘ABAFANA’.
“Very sad that Zambian bus was stoned and Kennedy Mweene sustained a head injury. Has had stitches and is ok, but the incident was shameful” read the statement by FAZ.
Safa president Kirsten Nematanani has apologized to his Zambian counterpart Kalusha Bwalya and entire Football Association of Zambia for the attack on the African champion team bus.
Kennedy Mweene and Felix Katongo suffered injuries as the Zambian bus was hit by huge rocks which shattered the windows. The bus was attacked as the team left the FNB stadium for the hotel. Our photo shows Nematandi (back to camera) checking Mweene’s injury after he received treatment on the bus from the Zambian squad medical staff.

shameful behaviour indeed, I thought we are way past the days of shaka!!!! and these are the people that are to host the Africa cup of Nations, FIFA should ban them from hosting any international football event, because its such events that should unit us as Africans and not fuel violence….there are other countries like Namibia,Mozambique that are capable of hosting peaceful a Afcon event. We dnt want any of our boys to get injured or killed when we defend our title! Atahse

Sad for South African brithers and sisters to behave that way especiaally when one looks at the nature of the competition. It was about recognising the effort Nelson Mandela had in the liberation of that country and Zambia was just invited by SAFA to play their team. Nowonder Mexico shunned the meeting last time. South Africa, its time to grow. The days of shaka are over, cant you see.Bravo Kennedy Mweene, Bravo Mbesuma, Bravo Chipolopolo.

Those involved in such inhuman acts should be caged without delay. Infact, the SAFA should launch an investigation into the perpetrators of such a wicked project so that they are ironed.

Zambians! The best way to treat an opponent is to keep quiete “ssshiiiiii” do not talk, talk, because when you talk much, enemies will know that you are talking about them. Hence, they will be clever in all thier movements, thereby avoiding the snares. Let us just quietly wait for their turn to come to “DZIKO YA MUTENDELE”, so that we give each of them, Ten strokes “pamatako” so as to make them know the true colours of their F***k***n aperthaid.

FIFA should surely look into this issue.I question SA”s security system. We need assurance of security coz they will not win a single game in the AFCON 2013. BAFANAX2 Leave our HERO’s alone.
