Kakonje Dropped For Saudi Friendly

Kakonje

Zambia number two goalkeeper Kalililo Kakonje has been dropped for Zambia’s away friendly to Saudi Arabia as Herve Renard picks three untested keepers.

In place of the Napsa Stars goalkeeper, Renard has travelled with Power Dynamos goalkeeper Joshua Titima and Daniel Munyau from Red Arrows.

Italian-based teenage goalkeeper Luciano Pasquini has also made the team and is in line to make his Zambia debut on Wednesday in Dammam.

And also dropped with Kakonje is Power midfielder Kennedy Mudenda and Zesco United striker Kangwa Chileshe.

Meanwhile, Renard has picked defender Chishimba Changala and midfielder Roderick Kabwe from promoted MTN/FAZ Super Division side’s Nkwazi and Kabwe Warriors respectively for the Saudi trip.

Also in the travelling party is Nkana striker Evans Kangwa.

However, Kangwa’s club mate and 2012 top scorer Reynold Kampamba will miss the trip due to a trial spell at Swiss side Young Boys.
