Edison Arantes do Nascimento better known as Pelé scored 127 goals in one calender year in 1959.

Then he score 110 in 1961.

  4. why now   December 12, 2012 at 4:35 pm

Pele scored 127 goals for Santos in 1959, 110 in 1961 and 101 goals in 1965.
The catch is that, out of those goals, some were not coming from official matches, they were friendly matches. I think this applies equally to our UCAR…

Zibwidi ulimwaice talalafye. When Ucar scored 107 goals the NFL never counted friendlies. These were league and cup games. For your own information there were two prolific clubs then Mighty and Kabwe Warriors. I remember these two teams whacking Kalulushi Modern Stars and Kabwe United who were both in Div 2 by 16-1 scorelines. These were Castle and Chibuku Cup games. In one such game Chitalu scored 8 goals

  9. Sorry King Messi but Ucar scored 107 goals   December 12, 2012 at 10:18 pm

I’m happy to see FIFA noting this and the story going global. I began the thread under Mayuka’s story last week on Loosaka times to little interest. Up to now LTimes are taking no interest. Glad to see that I made FAZ take the matter seriously. Viva Social Media and blogging!

But with all this data FIFA should settle the dust and name the real record breaker. Go FAZ Go Ucar Chitalu.
