Reading Emerge Strong Contenders to Sign Sunzu

Brian McDermott

English Premiership side Reading have emerged as strong favourites to sign Zambia and TP Mazembe defender Stopilla Sunzu.

Sources familiar with the development also dispelled speculation that Arsenal are also interested in looking at the 2012 Africa Cup winning defender.

“No he is not going to Arsenal,” the source told MTNFootball.com.”Everyone knows he is heading to Reading.”

Reading are seemingly winning the race to Sunzu’s signature after Tottenham Hotspur were earlier also reportedly interested in the defender.

Sunzu has been conspicuously missing from Zambia training over the weekend as they prepare for their December 22 friendly away to Tanzania in Dar-es-Salaam.

The problem with zambia is that we want our players to start big.EPL is a very advanced league and one needs time to study the system while there so I would say the young man should go to Reading and then rise to bigger teams. If he’s good he’ll be noticed from there. Most of these big name players didn’t start with big name clubs

People what would u suggest about this? Raphael Bernitez the Chelsea manager has been saying he wants to cement his defence and solidify it so that there can be a connection with his sharp strikers. So why can’t SUNZU go to chelsea.? John Terry has an injury, Garry Cahill fumbles when he plays alongside David Luiz. Therefore SUNZU will cement there defence which porous!!!! Help me with this one.

@GunnerMe, where are you? What can we do to convince Sunzu that Arsenal are the Star Makers in European Soccer? We make them shine the Man-U & the Galacticos take notice & rush to buy them. Gunners for Life!!
