‘Master’ Kalaba Out of Tanzania Friendly

Rainford Kalaba has been ruled of Saturday’s friendly match against Tanzania as he continues on the recovery process.

Team coach Herve Renard said it was too early to unleash the ‘master’ into action as he was still battling with fitness.

The TP Mazembe midfielder who is seen as the heartbeat of the Zambian

team has been sidelined due to a groin injury suffered in October.

“He is not training with the team he is only training to work on his fitness. He will not play in Tanzania,” Renard said.

“In the remaining five weeks and a half he will be ready for the Africa [Cup of Nations].”

The Frenchman said Kalaba was working with the ball as the medics continue to monitor his fitness.

“He has one week with the ball when he comes back with the squad we will be able to know if he will be able to play or not.”

Zambia faces Tanzania on Saturday away in Dar-es-salasm in an international friendly.

Thinking that juju can work in any career is primitivity. We won the afcon not bcoz of juju but determination. If we keep it up we must go for nothing but the final.
