Mabenga’ Son In Law Sentenced to Death By Hanging ‘Mabenga HAPPY, Describes it Christmas Gift For His Family’
Micheal Mabenga’s son in law, David Chitika and his co-accused, Lawrence Kaunda, have been sentenced to death by hanging.
The two have been found guilty in a matter in which they were jointly charged for murdering Mabenga’s daughter Gladys who was also the wife to David Chitika.
Fact before the high court were that 37-year-old Chitika, a Barclays Bank support specialist of 20, Petauke Road in Lusaka’s Chilenje South and 21 year old Kaunda, a student, on dates unknown but between September 10 and 11, 2010 jointly and whilst acting together murdered Gladys Maketo Mabenga-Chitika.
After the judgment Mr. Mabenga described the sentence as a Christmas gift for his family.
He, however, also expressed sadness that two more lives would be lost.

Serves the killers right. Why did he divorce her if he dint want her? And then what shame that we had Doctors that lied about the cause of death. Mr Mabenga follow ‘em too and make sure they get displined by their proffesional body.

Hoo! i did not know hanging is still on in zambia.Okay, eye for an eye;tooth for tooth.But I think they shud have jst sentenced thm to lyf imprisonment thereby allianating thm from the society ratha than hanging.

Guys, death is the painful thing, i understand all of us writing on this issue we ve passed thru this deadly pain once or more. we shuld’nt behave like holy ones without a sin. let this guys get punished by our law so that others may learn a lesson not to kill. criminals have taken advetage of killing pipo knowing that they wont be killed. as for me, many thanks to judge and i hope, will judge the lest criminals the same way this idiots has bn charged.

Mr. Mabenga we are sorry that you lost your daughter in such unfortunate circumstances. However,calling death sentence a Christmas gift amounts to blasphemy. It is through his birth (Xmas)that Christ brought salvation to the whole world including to those who were to kill him. Please retract your statement and turn to God.
