Criminals In Teacher’s Labour Movement Claim they Are a Branch Of PF

Dear Editor,

Please publish my story.

On Friday December 28th, officials from the newly registered Professional Teachers Union Of Zambia were locked up in police cells in ndola following their childish and criminal behaviour to insult and harass three District Education Board Secretaries for Luanshya, Kitwe and Ndola whose offices they forcibly locked.

Now, the background to this madness is that the national leaders of this union have borrowed loans to purchase expensive cars and houses which they hope to repay through subscriptions from teachers.

This is where the problem now is because they have failed to capture their anticipated numbers of members and the result has been to try and coerce the various DEBS to illegally recruit members on their behalf and those who resist are either insulted or threatened with dismissals or transfers.

What is even more worrying is that these characters are claiming to be an extension of the PF and that all their actions have the blessing of the ruling party. Ministers such as Mbulu and Kambwili are rumouerd to be behind this confusion.

The PF need to seriously look into this circus and bring it to an end.

I find it time wasting to comment on story because it is nothing but a rumour. Just because this union membership misbehaved, you quickly in your shallow judjement think its PF & why hide your identity? Its this kind of negative thinking which is bringing our country down why should we always discuss stories which devide us instead of something to bring us together. Zambians let us unite for a better zambia tomorrow coz one day PF,MMD,UPND,NAREP & others will be no more but we or our children will be there as zambians.God bless mother zambia!!!

Seems like the newly formed t/union has been a treat to yours. Who knows, maybe those thugs were planted by you to tarnish the newly formed union. Be smart and know when to pull the neck out of water.

It is true that these chaps are PF 1) for the first time in the history of Zambia, Sata swore in Union executives at statehouse 2) all thieves will find it easy to claim or even be PF because the PF does not stand for truth , just look at how many campaign promises they’ve broken without any remorse 3) the family forest thing is becoming endemic in PF. Consequently, these thieves are truly PF and have Sata’s blessings.

Can someone investigate at Muchinga secondary school Isoka Muchinga province one teacher has fake documents trained in maths and history but refuses to teach these subjects instead he cheats English and RE. Even a blind eye can see that his professonal paper from Mufulira and accademic papers are a forge. Wondering how he was employed cos his papers were not certified by commissioner of orth. Innocent children are suffering at this mess

you guys get to grow. one profession 10 unions, betuz. sestuz, znut, petuz, professsion union etc. are you guys thinking or it is just childish. Just have one union separated by departments, Pre sch teachers, Primary sch, Secondary sch, lectures, and conditions of service going by qualifications and grade. Not this nonsense.

Today January 1,2013 marks the begining of a new journey where I feel people need to focus on issues which matter and not on squabbles about Unions, partisan politics etc.At national level let govt should focus on a better performing economy. At individual level why not focus on personal HCD,like starting ka Masters,Bachelors or PhD etc.Let’s stop these demonstrations, fightings, tribalism, political party enemity.Just imagine if each one of us planned to construct a house this year, zambia would be a very developed country

&Abakonzi, I agree with you. The only problem is that only a few tribes mates of CNB have the opportunity to get scholarships for further training. They have also been given good jobs such that they can even sponsor themselves for Masters etc – while the rest of the country is under untold and unheard of poverty. Please tell your CNB to be fair.
