THE Patriotic Front (PF) has accused opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) of exhibiting a defeatist attitude by raising false alarm of vote buying in the Mpongwe by-election.
PF media and publicity director Chanda Mfula said in a statement that the opposition party’s defeatist attitude had always made it perform poorly in elections.
“It is understandable that after realising that they have no presence on the ground, the UPND has again resorted to the usual media cacophony, a strategy that has failed to work in their favour in the past,” he said.
Mr Mfula challenged the UPND to avail the country with evidence of the vote buying and that the PF was on firm ground in Mpongwe where victory is a certainty.

UPND getting Mpongwe, its like you’re asking a stone to produce milk for you. It is easier indeed for a camel to pass through the eyes of a needle than UPND win Mpongwe.

If Mr Wynter Kabimba had any decent length of memory, he would not have reported Lubinda to Sata for allegedly selling out to the opposition during the same week he told a live phone in program in Choma where he incited opposition UNDP MPs to defect to PF so that they can share in the pot of honey the PF has to offer. Maybe he is the only man not aware of the doctrine of “what is good for the goose is good for the gander”, the one he subscribes to is the one ya Kumawa i.e. “Cha wamila galu ku luma mbozi”. With leaders like these, who needs imperialists to pull Zambia down?
