FAZ Announces March 16 For Season Kick-Off

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has announced the 2013 football league season will kick off on March 16.

Week One matches will be preceded by the Samuel “Zoom” Ndhlovu Charity Shield Competition spread out into two phases with the semi-finals set for February 23 and the final on March 9.

A circular sent out to all FAZ member clubs also announces that the 2013 annual general meeting will be held on March 30 at a venue not advised.

Super Division champions Zanaco, 2012 Barclays Cup winners Napsa Stars, 2012 Charity Shield winners Power Dynamos and 2011 Charity Shield winners Zesco United will compete in the 2013 season opening Charity Shield.

FAZ league matches have been scheduled to kick off on March 16 for Week One with Week Two set for March 23 while Week Three will be played in the first week of April.
