The author’s reasoning leaves much to be desired. It seems suffering to him is a tale. He has not witnessed how the majority of our population in the rural areas suffers. The govt is trying to provide free education and he is busy advocating for something else. Bull- shit!

True. When fail they should not wait fir two years for them to rewrite their exams. Fees should not be increased because even the fees that are being charged right now are too high for some families. If we want more people to get educated then education should be afortable.

very mayopic thinking.
it is ECZ that must evolve to deal with emerging challenges by now they should be able to offer more than one sitting.
and why do they close centers before they publish results. it should be that when your child fails he should be able to rewrite their exams that very year rather than have them spend two years at home waiting to write their exams

All the reasons given for the justification of higher fees do not seem relevant to the issue under discussion. In fact, a country with such low literacy levels should reduce the fees so more people could have a chance to basic education.
