‘Chile Bull’ Kombe Resurfaces at NAPSA Stars

Former international Francis Kombe has joined Napsa Stars becoming the latest addition to a club that boasts an array of players of yester years.

Kombe, who has seen out his FIFA ban on the match fixing scandal that hit Zambian players in Finland, who were plying their trade in the country was spotted by during the morning work out.

The former Power Dynamos player is one of two players the pensioners have roped in alongside National Assembly’s Robby Musesha. Kombe, a product of Chiparamba Academy, re-unites with NAPSA Stars coach Peter Kaumba who was his coach at Zambia Under-23 in 2003/04.

Kombe is a talented and prolific striker whose promising career has, however, been tattered with a poor disciplinary record that hampered his progress to reach the apex of his career. He was occasionally called to Chipolopolo but never consistent to warrant a permanent place over the last decade.

The 2012 Barclays Cup winners already has ex-internationals in Harry Milanzi, Sipho Mumbi, Kalililo Kakonje, Ackson Phiri, Billy Mwanza among others.

Kombe’s ban lapsed in October last year.

Before the ban was effected, he had started last year’s campaign with league runners up Power Dynamos for who he played two games.
