UPND Accuses PF of Vote Buying

The United Party for National Development (UPND) says it has unearthed a scheme where a named Lusaka based Patriotic Front female Member of Parliament is arranging to dish out money to electorates in Mpongwe, a week before the by elections slated for February 28th.

In an interview with Qfm NEWS, UPND deputy secretary general for political Kuchunga Simusamba claims the Member of Parliament in question is also a deputy minister.

Mr. Simusamba says the PF should not engage in electoral malpractices warning that the Mapatizya formula will catch up with her.

He says the UPND will not succumb to election tactics that compromise the tenets of democracy.

And Mr. Simusamba further says the UPND candidate in Livingstone Regina Musokotwane is headed for victory come polling day.

He says the Livingstone residents are keen to have the first female Member of Parliament and that Mrs. Musokotwane will provide the much needed leadership to carryout development in the area.
