‘We Are A Nation Of Stupid Idiots’
In his moments of anger our first republican President Dr Kenneth Kaunda used to refer to people as “stupid idiots.”It is just like a British senior official who submitted in his secret report in 1948 that Black Africans are too corrupt and stupid to govern themselves. This was after visiting 12 African countries.
Equally, Ian Douglas Smith who went to his grave believing that it will take more than a thousand years for Blacks to govern themselves in a civilized manner.It may indeed interest some Zambians to know that some western thinkers more than 80 years ago agreed that they would greatly benefit from the abundant natural resources of Africa by flooding the continent with hard working Chinese to exploit the vast resources on the continent because they considered Africans as being savages who were too lazy and incapable of doing anything productive apart from manufacturing malice and fighting each other. To this day many still view us as dangerous inferior beings. As ZDDM we definitely don’t think that we are “Stupid idiots”The truth is that there is surely something seriously wrong with us as a people, which makes us appear stupid and idiots.
The earlier we identify the problem the better. We can’t continue be a people who waste all our time and energy bickering, fighting and destroying each other. More-so, we find it easier and satisfying to destroy than to build.
Our mentality as Zambians seem to be bent on the easier side of destroying and not carrying out in-depth researching and building hence people viewing us as idiots who are failing to utilize the abundant wealth all around us which God has already given us , We as a result end up Suffering in the midst of plenty.
If you listen to any political phone in program in Zambia or to look at the comments on the internet websites you will be surprised to discover the kind of tribal insults and comments. This will give you an idea of the deeply rooted hate we are experiencing. The public media is not spared as leaders use it to twist the truth dangerously and demonize those who they view as enemies of what they now term as enemies. Sadly Zambians are fed on mostly lies and propaganda hence the failure of an average Zambian to make well informed decisions. This may seem politically beneficial but the truth is that it has destroyed Zambia. Propaganda is among the evils which a future government must end. Cheating and brutalisimg citizens for a living are a culture which must be killed in Zambia.
I wish to reveal that we are in the process of creating a Book of Shame register for all those perpetuating wrong and all those listed including all members of parliament who are corrupted into defecting from their political parties to join the ruling Patriotic Front to bear full responsibility for the huge public resources which they cause to be wasted on bye elections and indeed the bloodshed which result.
In our opinion the root cause of the Zambian crisis is this lack of truthful information to help our people make well informed decisions based on facts. The average Zambian including the so called intellectual in society have no time to analyses and think through whatever information they get .They just take whatever they read in some tabloid newspaper or hear on ZNBC as gospel truth .They are not aware that there are schemers who sit and plan of what information should be made public and not disclosed .They systematically present news in a calculated manner to provoke a particular reaction or to swing public opinion in a certain direction.There are very few Zambians who are interested in thinking through issues or indeed who bother to understand as most of them already have their minds tuned to maintain fixed positive or negative stands based on like and dislike.
Unlike other nationalities the downfall of our nation is in our lack of ability to feel for others .We profess to be a Christian nation but fail to love one another as the bible demand. For us God is for all and each man for himself. We trust that nobody will be offended if we express our belief to say that Zambia is a nation of FAKE Christians. Even our leaders can go to church and tell the nation that they will rule by the 10 commandments when they hate with a passion, cheat and mislead the whole nation with fake promises and tell lies openly in the name of politics.We for example don’t know how the South African President Jacob Zuma felt when he heard that we as opposition leaders had gone to seek asylum in his country. A lie fed and accepted by trusting Zambians.
We also have youth calling themselves cadres carrying Pangas and offensive weapons killing fellow Zambians-For what? Here we are transforming politics into witchcraft and Satanism. Destroying each other, innocent blood and tears dripping everyday as thieves get richer and more powerful each day. What a nation?What is very painful to us as ZDDM is the fact that Zambia is a very rich nation yet the majority population wallows in abject poverty, suffering and dying as if the country is at war while a few crooks get richer. They can afford to live in Johannesburg and work in Lusaka.
A part from the protected thieves in the system who are trying to get away with public funds we have a business community which has failed to support good causes. They watch things go wrong but prefer to laugh at us while they invest their profits outside Zambia.In the next government we shall expect decisions to be made on how we are going to handle people who have become Zambians for the sake of milking our nation. If they can’t help sweep dirty why entertain them.Just as we will have no option but to make decisions on the Zambian land already sold to foreigners who don’t even respect us.It is also very important that Zambians to start identifying their true friends and enemies’ .This must start by understanding and acknowledging that our country is not an island.For those who want to believe that President Sata is alone holding full power let them know that there three powerful forces meanwhile influencing events in our country.
First and most powerful are the ones who seem to have financed his 2011 campaign. We have reasons to believe that PF was sponsored by a cartel of people trying to find protection from prosecution for the Public Funds which they got from DBZ, Finance Bank and the one trillion from the defunct Task Force.It would appear that this sponsorship was on condition that President Sata would give them the critical position of DPP and controlling the flow of information in the country hence his failure to make any move of clearing the people before appointment. Can President Sata tell us if we are wrong.
The other powerful force is the western powers who wanted President Rupiah Banda out of State House at all cost because of his firm connection with the Chinese.The other player is the Chinese who have vested interest to protect. It is a shame that China which has contributed to our current situation can now be the one installing spying equipment to our government. What a friend.Many people will recall that soon after the September 2012 election there was a highly mobilized network of vicious looking carders who appeared from nowhere ready for a showdown had RB won the election.
We continue to thank God that the bloodshed was averted when the election was given to PF but In spite of the smooth handover blood started to be spilled from the time of campaigns when blood was shed on a platform and soon after announcing results. Many people were killed and property destroyed .The media however black out this information.These interest groups and what we term as OP opposition parties with a compromised media and unprofessional Police force have eroded democracy in our country.
It is also important for Zambians to realize that political players in the genuine opposition are people sacrificing their lives every day. Being locked up in police cells on tramped up charges and their families fearing for their lives every day for Zambia is not a small matter.
Zambians should look back from independence how gallant sons of this country have been perished The list is long but to mention a few like Harry MwaangaNkhumbula, NaluminoMundia, Chimbelu, ZeniaNjobvu, Dean Mungomba, Kalisilila, Yonah Phiri, Chama chakomboka Anderson Mazoka, FredrickChiluba, PaulTembo, Webster Mwanamungela , Kangwa Mutale , Jabs Mulenga etc
When we say politics in Zambia has been transformed into Satanism there are facts to show how we are destroying each other instead of working together as Zambian.The Satanism called politics and widespread spirit of hate and self-centeredness being promoted by our media and political leaders has made it difficult for Zambians to put their heads together for the benefit of Zambia and its people. One great thinker of yester century once said, “What has advanced evil in society is good people failure to make decision to correct the wrong they see taking place in society.” We as ZDDM believe this is true because a person who sees a thief steal and does not do anything to prevent that thief from stealing is equally guilt of the same offence.
This theory was amplified by another philosopher who said: “Each time good people decide to stay away from their civic duty of correcting the wrong in society, a complementary legion of evil and wicked people will jump in to fill the vacuum left by them.” Hence our determination to take the bull by the horn like David did on Goliath.
Adding to this theory, the Catholic Church admonishes people by saying: “The reward of good people that refuse to take their civic duty to correct the situation they complain about is to live under the leadership of wicked people. “Zambians can see the evil going on and just mourning or insulting those speaking out.
We as ZDDM may not have the capacity to end the evils which Zambians have come to accept as normal but can only offer Federalism as a solution so that each province can use their cultural values to correct and fend for themselves. The consolation is that it is not too late since Zambia is just on the verge of entering the completely dark satanic world of grand scale bloodshed.
We can save Zambia The pictures painted by great thinkers of the yester thinkers and the Church appear to make a proper description of the situation in Zambia where people stay away bemoaning the inroads of the wicked people but does nothing to correct the situation. In psychiatric, “an insane person is one who expects greater things but does nothing to merit what they expect.”We are faced with a situation in Zambia where things seem not to be going in the right direction among our politicians. We have complained as a nation about the recycled politicians that have contributed to the collapse of the governance system of this nation. But when time comes for these people to make decision, they stay bac k watching waiting for other to do something on their behalf.
A time has come for us not to dwell on looking at personalities but rather start to look at ideas. As ZDDM we are not eying State House but a new national order where each province can choose its own leaders who can represent them in the central government.This will take power to the people and create more jobs in the nation. Zambia under the Federal system will develop faster as concretions will shift from persecuting each other to utilizing the vast and abundant natural wealth God has already given us. We must not take offense when words like Stupid idiots are used because what is happening in Zambia is Stupid. How can we continue to have a majority population suffering and dying from poverty related causes in the midst of abundant wealth? There is simply no justification for the widespread suffering in our nation apart from greed. As already said ZDDM is here not to seek power but to help save Zambia from the jaws of Satan and self-destruction in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior.
Living in filth and the destructive politics of hate are not of God but Satan .As a nation which claim to be Christian can we start to see God in each other that every single Zambian can play their task on earth. Let us learn to appreciate each other because nobody is useless in this life. We are all born with specific missions which the devil would like to kill through a spirit of hate.
We have beautiful rich country which can be transformed only if we all change our mentality of ever trying to destroy each other.ZDDM has worked with all leaders of the non –OP opposition parties and President Sata himself at one point and we can say that they are all wonderful and committed leaders who can transform Zambia if they put their minds to do so. We must all pray and ask God to send his Holy Spirit onto their hearts. Let this hateful spirit haughting ZAMBIA GO to Hell.

One of the best written articles I have read here for a long time. We only have one Zambia and we need to enjoy our God given nation. The most important point I too believe is that we are fed on very wrong information especially by the media and we make wrong decisions! One Zambia, One Nation.

Nice article, we need people who really use their GOD given BRAINS. People of Zambia especially youths, its time to wake up from slumber-land and start thinking. Please, please stop being used by politicians, what we need to bear in mind is that every political party in Zambia is made up of people who are our very own relatives.Why then do we fight among ourselves! I have read articles but this particular one is just simply plain and hard truth. Africa Mayo Africa. Just what went wrong with mother Zambia? Most time I think about mother Zambia, I can’t help it but cry. “AFRICA MAYO AFRICA BAMAYO BALELILA MULU LAMBA LWACHIMANA NSHATALA KU MONA. AFRICA MAYO AFRICA.”
A country endowed with so much wealth in terms of Mineral Deposits or in short RAW Materials that the rest of the world needs to develop the world and drive their economies but the question remains, “What happened to mother Zambia.”

This article is an obituary depicting the sad state of affairs our beloved Country is in, truly it may sound strong but it is absolutely true. “A bunch of “****** IDIOTS.” An ***** is someone who only thinks or regrets after making a serious mistake.” typical of Zambian politics, we talk too much and do very little.” No wander we can see very little in terms of development. Look at our Road Net work in North western province as an example. That is what we are, we play when we are supposed to be serious and become serious when we are expected to be serious. Sad state of affairs indeed!!!
Look at our political system, it has really degenerated into a platform of insults. Slowly and without realizing it, we have seen our leaders allow insults, degrading each other,suing each other and sending each other to Jail to be the order of the day. This has become a Generational Curse.
The sadness is that, even our children will adopt this to be the modes operand i “system of operation”. People spend time looking at who shot who before we realize it the 5 year term is over with no meaningful development. God redeem mother Zambia in JESUS MIGHTY NAME.

A person who listens/reads more than they talk is usually wiser because they learn more.
