What Makes Zambia A Christian Nation?
I’m a Zambian concerned citizen and I want to ask, what makes Zambia a christian nation?
Firstly lets look at the dressing of the youths these days,it pathetic
Secondly, the alarming increasing rate of pentecostal churches- when someone is poor he decides to establish a pentecostal church to make money.
It is painting a bad image about Christians.
If a country is a christian nation, it means it is governed by the use of the christian holy book, the bible, but that is not the case.
even countries which are bhuddah nations are better off than Zambia.
There is too much prostitution, alcoholism,womanizing all bad things.
so its better for Zambia to be just a nation than declaring it a christian nation when it has no fruits of Christianity.
It is very sad to see the rate at which immorality is increasing and yet nothing is been done about it. I suggest the name Christian Nation be removed because is is painting a bad image about Christians

Just talk about bad dressing and other bad things apart from formation of new churches,number of people is growing each and evry day.

If you think the countries where they have refused the son of man (Jesus Christ are better than Zambia dear just pack your things and go and leave there. what makes you think that pentecoastal churces have more money to give to every jim and jack who works up one morning and decides to become a pastor? I think my dear whoever you are you do not travel I tell you Zambia is far much better than those countries you are praising umwana ashenda atasha nyina ukunaya. Go to South Africa, Mozambique,Namibia, Tanzania,Kenya, Malawi China and Congo DR just to mention a few. You must be behind with current affairs where were you when people were being asked whether Zambia should be called a christian nation or not work up from slumber and if you are the anti christ keep away from christians and stop misleading people. There is no where in the world were you will find perfect people no not one you may be perfect in your dressing but we do not know what you habour in your heart, but this is not to say that people should be moving naked no God forbid women must dress modestly so as to teach young ones.

Nawaitwika you hav missed the point. All the good lady is saying is that people do not become Christians by presidential declarations or by having it in the constitution that we are a christian nation. Christians are made by God when they are made to see their sins in heart and life and cry out to God for His salvation. Presidential declarations do not purify from sin. No they do not.Christ has come to change hearts yours and mine included. Whether the author has traveled or not is immaterial. There is sin and sinners everywhere. If anything these declarations just make people worse and hypocrites. Thanks ba waitwika

Can someone in Zambia, or the diaspora, please find out the background of one Prophet Jerry. Prophet Jerry is supposedly from Ghana and is cooking up a storm in Lusaka’s Ibex Hill claiming to healing people and prophecying what will happen to them. This charlatan must be investigated before he squeezes the poor people of their hard-earned cash.

Besides even you as author of this rubbish is not dressed decently, the devil is not looking for his people he is looking for chrstians, he decives them so much such that even someone in church can commit sin, a christian is going to go through hardships, if the only Son went through such who are you? look at your shoulders, they are out-side, the bible does not allow a woman’s body to be exposed, My sister this country is rightly positioned as a christian nation, no matter what we go through day to day as a country, we are a christian nation. Despite the daily insults, you zambian insult, we still believe over the weekend, everyone will be in church, unless other wise.

Are an anti-Christ or not? stay away from hiding in indicent dressing and insults for you to decampaign Jesus Christ in Zambia. Zambia is always a Christian Nation period. If you want hang yourself.

We are far much better than a lot of countries out there. Even some circular states admire us so much. Besides, I think a country that does not experience all that you mentioned above must be in heaven already. From my experience, the more one prays, the tempted one gets. The devil heard that we are now a christian nation, so he is trying by all means to tempt us. Let us try in every way to show him that we are not an easy target.

To be a Christian means to be Christ-like in character. The basic unit that constitutes society is a home. If we have an immoral society, it’s because our homes have become just that. Let us get back to God. As long as we keep Hollywood in our home and God is kept out, we will definitely see more moral corruption. The days of Noah and Lot are here. Turn ye to God.

What makes you think you are more of a christian than Zim or RSA? My dear God has his people in RSA and Zim just as he has in mother Zambia. He has chosen for HImself a people from every nation, from all classes of men and women without exception. Some of the most devout christians I have met are from places people think are the most ungodly. The LORD knows those who are HIS because he has made them so. They are not manufactured by presidents or in constitutions but born again through the preaching of the word of GOD and they are changed from inside out.

Zambians are true hypocrites – a Christian nation where women are killed by husbands, married pastors have affairs with choir girls and impregnate them, where fornication is rife within the church, where majority of zambians are alcoholics, where men rape animals, small children and grandmothers, etc…
Where women go to kitchen parties and get absolutely drunk, link up with their bopyfriends/toyboys. Some women even get drunk at these so-called christian, non-alcoholic kitchen parties and weddings – they bring alcohol tota packs in their handbags to christian events!!! Christian churches practising satanism, pastors being polygamists with harems in the name of ‘God gave me a vision to marry you’!!!
Gluttony is rife – one just has to lok atthe fat men in offices with no necks, the obese children seen eating chicken and chips every weekend downed by buckets of fizzy drinks

Because of the name of christian nation zambia has been kept from evil that encronces on some nations who remain oppen to all forms of sins and because of the same name that is why you can even complain about such activities if not you can’t even complain because you live that those who live in hell can not complain because it is their accepted way of life

Zambia is not a christian nation. The very fact that we are intent on calling ourselves a Christian nation implies that we have realised the truth is quite the opposite.
Communist states liked to call themselves “democratic this..democratic that” purely because everyone recognised that’s exactly what they were not.
Christianity is more than shouting “Hallelujah! and Amen!” loudly in a congregation and mumbling incoherently like people possessed. Christianity is about being able to cary the cross of Christ with diginity, in silence and in observance of his teaching.
Zambia is ranked near the top globally on Corruption, Crime, poverty (Against significant natural wealth),sexually transmitted diseases and other vices. Clearly not the accolades of a christian teachings.
30 years ago, homesexuality was unheard of and unknown in Zambia, so have we come from praying to ancestral spirits to homesuxuality in a christian vehicle? absolutely nonsense.
There are churches springing up everywhere whose root foundation is pastors who own many flashy cars and wear gold watches. Clearly no sign of humility and being servants to the sheep of god.
I am a lay man, not well versed in the ways of god, a sinner and just a man, but I know that Zambia is not a Christian nation.
let us not fool ourselves. Lets debate intelligently without revoking to insults and emotional content which lowers the debate to the gutter.

Zambia s a Christian nation because the majority are, those vices written are just a few and do not representing the entire population of Christians. It is dull to think or expect everyone in the country to behave like a Christian. The fact that there are some bad vices in the country does not mean Zambia does not qualify to be a Christian nation. It is because of such people like the author who tarnish the image of Zambia. How can honestly a self confessed sinner claim that Zambia is not a Christian nation? its like the tym of Moses were God tuk them out of slavery,but still,pipo made their own idols and worshiped them,but God still called them his pipo because of the convenant.even wen u go in a church, there will always be those pretenders,sinners and true believers and remember that God does not impose but lets u decide,being a christian nation does not mean every one will be a true believer,its a nation which acknowledges that God is Lord but the choice to do his will is upto an individual.
