Venezuela Announces Post-Chavez Election Date

Patriotic Front Mpongwe Member of Parliament Gabriel Namulambe has revealed how he started working with the Patriotic Front while the MMD was still in power.

Mr Namulambe made the revelations when he appeared on MUVI TV’s the Assignment Programme last evening.

He said after being fired by President Rupiah Banda as Science, Technology and Vocational Training Minister in January 2010, he decided to join hands with former Defence Minister George Mpombo to mobilize the PF in Ndola rural.

He also attributed his sacking by president Banda for opposing the former president’s shift from the Levy Mwanawasa legacy.

Mr Namulambe said president Banda decided to reappoint him as Minister after realizing that the MMD would lose support in the lambaland.

He adds that he reluctantly accepted his appointment as works and supply Minister, pointing to the fact that it took him one month to accept the appointment following wide consultations with the traditional leadership.
