From Insulting Zambians, Dora Siliya Goes For Lubinda ‘He is trying to inflate his small, bruised ego’
The Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) has described the decision by the Patriotic Front Members of Parliament to lift the immunity of former president Rupiah Banda as a buse of institutions of democracy.
And the MMD has castigated Zambia Daily Mail deputy managing director Anthony Mukwita for his open biasness and unprofessionalism in managing editorial content at the government owned newspaper.
MMD spokesperson Dora Siliya said it is appalling that institutions of democracy such asParliament were being abused by the PF government by passing motions that were flowed and irregularly brought to the house.
Addressing journalists at the Drug Enforcement Commission where former president Banda had presented himself for the second day for questioning, Ms Siliya said it was a pity that the PF had found it prudent to abuse Parliament.
Ms Siliya has described Kabwata Memmber of Parliament Given Lubinda who is currently under sunctions from the ruling party as a man with a small ego and working hard to inflate it by pretending to be clever and intelligent.
Mr Siliya said said Mr Lubinda who is according to his party a treacherous and dangerous member to the party was rubbing his hands with glee when debating the motion to remove Mr Banda’s immunity because he was more concerned about his gin and tonic instead of the values of the National Assembly.
Ms Siliya said it was not surprising that the PF were considering Mr Lubinda a treacherous person because men with small egos were always trying hard to impress those above them to win some favour.
“It is a pity that people with low egos can abuse institutions of democracy like Parliament. Mr Lubinda has been branded a treacherous member of the PF and it is not surprising because that is what people with small egos often do. He has continued being treacherous even in Parliament and he was happier that he would enjoy his gin and tonic largely at the expense of building democracy,” Ms Siliya said.
And Ms Siliya has charged that Zambia Daily Mail deputy managing director Anthony Mukwita lacked professionalism in the way he was managing editorial content at the company.
Ms Siliya said Mr Mukwita was a cadre of the PF and could not be objective with the content of the newspaper because he would always want to please his appointing authorities.
She said Mr Mukwita has been twisting stories to fit the desires of his appointing authorities.
Mr Mukwita before being given the job at the Zambia Daily Mail by Mr Lubinda, he was a stringer with a magazine called the Bulletin but because of being a cadre and friend to Mr Lubinda, he was appointed deputy managing director of the Zambia Daily Mail at the same time Mr Isaac Chipampe was promoted to the position of managing director.
Ms Siliya said it was the duty of journalists to report factually and without biasness but that she was disappointed by Mr Mukwita’s open biasness in twisting stories to suit his ambitions.

The MMD are the last people we will listen to in criticism of media bias. Dora I cant follow your criticism of Lubinda. What exactly are you criticising him for? Small egos, treachery, rubbing hands how do all these tie up? Most characteristics you give Lubinda are yours cos we remember you sucking up to RB when he was in office.

Dora, have. You apologized yet to the zambians for your unbecoming behavior? Lubinda celebrated because he sees justice in what happened but you with your bitterness insulted all zambians. There is nothing to compare between the two reactions, yours is criminal and I hope to see serious discplinery action against you.

Shut up Dora! Be grateful that the media is now even able to show the opposition on news and n papers. You never did that as Movemeent for Mad Dogs! Have you forgotten?
