Former President, Rupiah Banda, who appeared before the Joint Government Security Wings for the second time today, says the investigations on him are a mere fishing expedition.
Mr Banda who spoke through his Lawyer Sakwiba Sikota has strongly stated that the Joint Government Investigative team does not seem to have a case against the former Head of State.
And Mr. Banda who arrived at the Drug Enforcement Commission-DEC offices at 09:45 said he will come out clean.
He appealed to the MMD cadres that escorted him not to succumb to any acts of violence.
Meanwhile, the joint Government Investigative Team has revealed that the formerPresident is being question over the Nigeria Oil saga, the Mpundu Trust issue and the MMD campaign material.
Spokesperson Namukolo Kasumpe says Mr.Banda will again appear for further questioning this Friday.
Mr. Banda has since been warned and cautioned.
