Police Brutally Assault Boy

A twenty year old boy of Ndola is nursing a broken leg in hospital after allegedly being brutally beaten by a police officer.

Michael Chisanga of Kabushi Kariba Township was allegedly beaten on Saturday around 21:00 hours by a Constable Steven Simuchembu who was patrolling the area with other officers.

Constable Simuchembu was equally badly beaten by an angry mob that came to the rescue of the twenty year old.

Police have confirmed that the Constable was detained at Ndola Central Police Station but has been released to seek medical attention for the injuries he received from the angry mob.

20years is not a boy but a young man. Too bad a youngman was butchered by a cop who was supposed to protect him. Its good the cop was also taught a lesson.

THE POLICE WOULD HAVE GOT THE MAN,TAKEN HIM TO THEIR STATION, QUESTIONED HIM IF AT ALL HE WAS JUST A SHISHITA OR A THIEF THAN BEATING HIM.
THE FULL NEWS SAID HIS 3 FRIENDS FLED AWAY AND WHEN HE TRIED TO DO THE SAME,THE OFFICERS CAUGHT HIM.
THE WHOLE SCENCE WOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.SAD IT ENDED THAT WAY.

Mulefipayafye fi police nafitumpa sana and they want to be taking the law into their own hands, its now a police FORCE and never a service, like the way they are doing here on the copperbelt on innocent taxi drivers.

Why can’t they start first with street vending then they can bring sanity to piraters later on. Street vending is allowed so pirating should also be allowed period.

The police officers are acting unprofessionally by using instant justice where there are supposed not to.
Depending on the locality 21:00hrs is time one would be charged for loitering. Get me correctly, I am saying depending on the locality.
My appeal to the police service is that they should restrain from using force when carrying out their duties.

Zambians should be free to walk the streets at 21hrs unless there is a serious operation in a particular area and even then residents should be informed bullshit. Too bad the officer learned lessons the hard way.
